Pick, Prediction, & Preview:

Cleveland Indians vs Baltimore Orioles

Returning from Puerto Rico the Indians will visit Oriole Park and face the Baltimore Orioles who are trying to find a balance between their hitting and pitching, coming in they have lost 6 games in a row as they look to bounce back in the win column.

Cleveland Indians's Latest Performance :

Some sad news coming out of the Indians came Mike Napoli playing for the Triple-A Columbus suffered a serious right knee injury that would require surgery. The recovery process will take 10-14 months, Napoli has played in three World Series including one with Indians back in 06.

The team will travel to open up a four-game series with the Orioles as the Indians travel back from Puerto Rico. As they split the series with the Twins one game apiece with the final game both teams put on a show and had the match entered its 16th inning, this match was for the fans overseas.

The 16 inning game was the longest regular-season major league held outside America. The trip to Puerto Rico was great for the MLB because it really put things into perspective for the players to be grateful for what they have and know that they are putting on a show for fans and children to show them that it doesn’t matter which country you are from you still have the same opportunity like the kids in the States if you put in the time and effort you will make it. Franciso Lindor and Roberto Perez were both are both from Puerto Rico.

Ramirez looks for him to start to get things back into gear as he is currently struggling as of late, he should be able to pick things up where he left off against the Orioles with 8 RBIs this season look for that stats to rise as he plays the Orioles.

Corey Kluber will be in charge of pitching, working on seven days of rest, Kluber held the Twins to one run over 6 2/3 innings Tuesday in Puerto Rico. He struck out six and walked two. In five career starts at Camden Yards, Kluber has a 3.12 ERA with 42 K’sand five walks in 34 2/3 frames.

Baltimore Orioles's Latest Performance :

The Orioles has now lost 6 games in a row as they now face the Indians, there is no excuse for the Orioles they have to get better since starting the season with a bang picking up 3 of 4 games against the Yankees. Since then the Orioles have now lost eight of its nine games.

Alex Cobb fails to complete four innings for the second time in two starts already this season, Mike Wright Jr. isn’t doing much better giving up 5 runs including Martin’s grand slam. The problem with the Orioles right now is that they can’t seem to get their batting or pitching to synchronize at the same time. Giving up a total of 56 runs in 6 games the pitching has to improve for the Orioles. Bundy leads the team in strikeouts at 31. The mindset that the Orioles must deploy is taking it game by time inning by inning and focus on every play putting in incremental victories would allow the Orioles to build up momentum and rediscover the form they had at the start of the season.

The hitters have to play catchup the whole time because the pitchers are struggling it can take a toll on the batter, the batter put up runs then the pitcher gives up a huge inning when playing baseball it is really hard playing catch up.

Chris Davis hit the fourth homer of his career but wasn’t enough before of the Orioles bad pitching.

Kevin Gausman should be taking the pitching duty for this game with an ERA of 5.57 and 19 strikeouts already this season and giving up only one home run against the Indians.

Against The Spread Selection: Cleveland Indians

My reason for the pick :

With how bad the Orioles are right now trying to avoid losing 7 games in a row, with Kluber handling the pitching and considering how hot he has been I am going with the Indians over the Orioles.
