Pick, Prediction, & Preview:

Los Angeles Dodgers vs San Francisco Giants

The Dodgers will welcome the Giants to the AT&T Park as the two teams face off for game 2 of the series. As both teams are looking to bounce back into the win column after both teams picked up a loss in their previous outing

Los Angeles Dodgers 's Latest Performance :

After two close home games losses to the Marlins, the Dodgers are looking to bounce back as they hit the road to go face the Giants at the bay.

Everyone expected Kershaw to put on a masterpiece but instead, it was the complete opposite as he tied his career high with 6 walks. Kershaw hasn’t allowed six walks in a game since April 7 back in 2010 making this his 3rd time that he allowed 6 walks in a game. Bellinger went 2 for 5 for the Dodgers his team-leading eighth multi-hit game of the season. He now has 3 homers including 9 RBIs this season. The losses against the Marlins were rare losses for the Dodgers as they were projected to sweep them but ended up losing the series. It goes to show that in baseball it isn’t always that the better team would come out with a victory baseball is much more in-depth than that one bad play game from the starting pitcher could cost the team the whole game because they have to play from behind from the very beginning.

Maeda will be on pitching duties for game 2. He will look to build on his last performance when he allowed one earned run in six innings vs. Miami on Tuesday. Maeda has already pitched twice vs. the Giants this season (once in relief), allowing no earned runs in a total of six frames.

San Francisco Giants's Latest Performance :

Stratton should be returning to the Giants squad, he is back after attending his family business. His has an ERA of 2.32 with 24 strikeouts this season. The Giants could not pull off a sweep in their final game against the Nationals as they gave up a staggering 15 runs and 18 hits. Jeff Samardzija and four Giant relievers were culprits. Jeff Samardzija was pulled only after 3 2/3 innings having allowed six runs with 3 SO and 3W.

The Giants win streak ended at 3 as they welcome the LA Dodgers to the bay area. The Giants has one of the best bullpen in the league being the second-fewest runs allowed per game. Although their batting has to improve currently ranked second last in the league when it comes to runs averaging only 3.16 runs per contest not good at all for the Giants who were off to a hot start and seems to be cooling down over the past few games.

The Giants hitters had hit a league-worst .171. They need to be more aggressive on offense. The Giants best batter on the team is Brandon Belt has a hitting average of 0.304 with 6 homers and 12 RBIs, Belt has to become the vocal leader on the team set examples for others to follow because if other see that he is putting in the work they will do the same.

Taking the pitching duties for the Giants will be Ty Blach. Ty only yielded one extra-base hit in his last start against Washington, but it was a costly one: a three-run homer by Michael A. Taylor. He hasn’t pitched into the seventh inning yet this season and hasn’t won since Opening Day vs. the Dodgers. The Dodgers will be a tough matchup for Blach.

How Los Angeles Dodgers & San Francisco Giants Matchup.

Vegas Odds, Offshore Odds, & Odds ATS:

Giants are 1-5 in their last 6 vs. National League West.

Dodgers are 4-0 in their last 4 vs. National League West.

Against The Spread Selection: Los Angeles Dodgers

My reason for the pick :

Since the Giants can’t seem to generate any offense in these last few games and with Maeda pitching he usually plays well against the Giants so I am putting my faith into Maeda as the Dodgers will bounce back after bad showing against the Marlins.

Betting trends for Los Angeles Dodgers :

  • Dodgers are 4-0 in their last 4 road games.

Betting trends for San Francisco Giants:

  • Giants are 2-9 in their last 11 after allowing 5 runs or more in their previous game.
