Pick, Prediction, & Preview:
Kansas City Royals vs Boston Red Sox
The Boston Red Sox will look to bounce back after dropping two straight home games to the Rays as they welcome the Royals to Fenway Park who has been struggling all year long. This will be a great game for the Red Sox to regain their confidence as the Red Sox look to rub off this small bump on the road after a great start to the season.
Kansas City Royals 's Latest Performance :
From playing one of the worst teams to traveling to play the hottest team in the league. The Royals this season managed to only win 6 games this year and has taken already 20 losses this year making them the second worst team in the Major. It is safe to say that the Royals are tanking this year and building for the future. Their previous 2 wins have come against the White Sox who is as bad when comparing the White Sox to other teams in the league.
The Royals offense has been terrible with only having four hits all season with bases loaded, things are looking too good for the Royals as they will have to travel to Fenway and contain the red-hot Red Sox offense who are 8-3 at home despite dropping 2 straight home games.
Although the Royals had picked up a feel-good win against the White Sox, they still have no chance to compete against the Red Sox offense. Mike Moustakas has been the only star for the Royals as he leads in all the team categories batting at 0.297 having 8 homers and 19 RBIs this season. The only way the Royals can get better is by rebuilding through the draft as of right now wins are very hard to come by for this team. It will be a long season for the Royal Fans.
Jakob Junis takes the mound in the middle game against the Red Sox. Junis will be looking to bounce back after a rough outing Thursday against the White Sox in which he gave up six hits, including a career-high five home runs, in 5 2/3 innings.
Boston Red Sox's Latest Performance :
The Red Sox after the hot start at home just dropped two straight games against the Rays. I don’t know who is in charge of the scheduling but he couldn’t have made it any better for the Red Sox as they host the worst team in the league the Royals this will would be a great opportunity for the Red Sox to regain their confidence after the hot start. Red Sox have now lost 5 of their last 7 games.
Despite the Red Sox dropping two games, the Red Sox are still having their second-best start in history.
I expect an offensive explosion from the Red Sox as they should dominate this weak Royals team. Betts should be able to play after suffering a hamstring tightness against the Rays, he has been on fire for the Red Sox this year hitting .344/.439/.733 with eight homers and 18 RBIs look for that number to increase by a huge amount when playing the Royals.
There is no need to overreact to this hiccup because every team in sports after a hot start seems to slow down and great teams like the Red Sox they know that the regular season are just a warmup and the real baseball starts during the postseason. It isn’t worth it for a team who has been great all season long then get gassed up in the postseason the season will turn into a waste.
Taking the Mound against the Royals for the Red Sox will be Chris Sale, he has picked up 2 wins and dropped 1 this season. Sale owns a 2.31 ERA, 0.97 WHIP, and 45/8 K/BB ratio through 35 innings of work, and a date with the soft Royals offense.

Against The Spread Selection: Boston Red Sox
My reason for the pick :
This game should be a walk in the Park for the Red Sox as they should pick up an easy win against the Royals. Expect a blowout win for the Red Sox as they will be frustrated with themselves after allowing these few games to slip out of their hands.
Red Sox to blow out the Royals at home.
