Pick, Prediction, & Preview:
Milwaukee Brewers vs Cincinnati Reds
The Brewers will hit the road as they visit the Reds at the Great American Park. This is the second meeting between the two sides with the Brewers taking the first meeting from the Reds with a sweep.
Milwaukee Brewers 's Latest Performance :
Coming into this series the Brewers won 3 series in a row with victories coming from the Royals, the Marlins, and the Reds team that they are supposed to beat. During that winning streak, they shut down the Reds twice with the same scoreline 2-0. The Brewers are familiar with this team as they just played 2 weeks ago so nothing should catch them by surprise second time around. The team pitching has played a huge role in the Brewer strong start to the season as they only allow 3.19 ERA making them 5th in the Major.
Chase Anderson is the team best pitcher with 2 wins and 2 losses this season with a 2.86 ERA with 23 strikeouts, over the past 10 games the Brewers as a team only allowed a total of 18 runs. Hader leads the Way with SO with 31 for the season, if the Brewers can sort out their batting woes this team should be the team that everyone should keep their eyes on as the season goes on.
Taking the pitch for the Brewers will be Jhoulys Chacin. After a 6.59 ERA and a .970 opponents’ OPS in his first three Brewers starts, Chacin is 2-0 with a 1.72 ERA and a .606 opponents’ OPS in his last three starts. One big difference: A better slider, Chacin’s key pitch.
Cincinnati Reds's Latest Performance :
The Reds are the second worst team in the majors with only 6 wins this season, although scoring 15 runs against the Twins was something that no one predicted. The Reds in the last few series is able to pick up one or two games here and there but they aren’t quite at the level where they can pull out convincing wins the day in and day out they aren’t quite there yet.
However, Joey Votto has been on a tear for the Reds as he got his 4th homer in 4 straight games. He also reached the base 6 times with 14 RBIs, Votto now knows what he is capable of doing and if he is able to pull this off on consistent bases it would help the Reds keep the game competitive and pull off some upsets because right now everyone marks the Reds as a walk in a park team anyone can beat them but after the 15 run outburst they might have risen some eyebrows.
The Reds collected a season-high 20 hits while setting a season-high in runs scored at 15.
Taking the Mound for the Reds at home will be Finnegan. He was given a quick hook after 77 pitches in five innings with three runs allowed (two earned). He overcame a 25-pitch inning, and the lefty felt some mechanical tweaks helped him improve from his first two poor starts.

Against The Spread Selection: Milwaukee Brewers
My reason for the pick :
Although the Reds are starting to show signs of improvements however the Brewers should pick up the win at road because of their impressive pitching this season. I won’t be surprised if the Brewers are hoping for another shut down against the Reds.
