Seattle Mariners's Latest Performance :
The Mariners had played very well this season, however, they have lose 3 of their last 5 games to where the O/U was 2-3. Recently, Seattle would win a 3-game set against the Oakland Athletics on 5-1-2018 before suffering a 3-game series defeat at home to the Angels on 5-6-2018. They did, however, come out rejuvenated in game 1 of the 3-game road set against the Toronto Blue Jays on 5-8-2018 winning by a score of 5-0 before losing in game 2 by a score of 5-2 on 5-9-2018.

Detroit Tigers's Latest Performance :
The ‘2 steps forward, 2 steps back’ mantra continues for the Detroit Tigers as they have now lost 3 of their last 5 games to thwere the O/U was 2-2-1. The Tigers were recently looking as if they had begun to find their rhythm at home against the Tampa Bay Rays as they picked up the series win on 5-2-2018. Nonetheless, they followed this up with a 4-game series loss to the Kansas City Royals on 5-6-2018. To make things worse, tey dropped yet another road series, this time to the Texas Rangers on 5-9-2018. In all, the Tigers are reeling and must be able to overcome pitching and offensive issues to pick up some much-needed wins.
Currently, the Tigers are averaging 4.50 runs per game (16th) with a team batting average of .253 (7th), 30 homers (28th), along with 14 stolen bases (18th). Their pitching staff possesses an ERA of 4.26 (17th) with 226 k’s (28th), along with 14 quality starts on the year (11th).

How Seattle Mariners & Detroit Tigers Matchup.
Vegas Odds, Offshore Odds, & Odds ATS:
For the season, the Detroit Tigers are 18-17 ATS while the O/U is 15-20. On the other hand, the Seattle Mariners are 21-13 ATS while the O/U is 21-13.
In-Depth Analysis of each team:
This matchup will be interesting in that the Tigers hope to string together some wins at home against a surging Mariner squad that has been very solid lately. On one hand, Detroit must somehow utilize their pitching, which has been average at best, in which to tame the hot bats for the Seattle lineup on Saturday which, as we know, will not be as easy as it sounds. The Mariners, on the other hand, would like nothing better than to have yet another solid performance against a team that they have played well against both at home and on the road.
Against The Spread Selection: Seattle Mariners
My reason for the pick :
The Mariners have owned this series in the past, and I will stick with them to come out victorious in game 2 of this 3-game set. Also, the Mariners have played very well on the road thus far as they are 12-6 on the money line in their last 18 road games. While the Tigers would certainly love to get some wins flowing in this matchup, I feel as if the Mariners will do just enough to get the close win on Saturday.
