In-Depth Analysis of each team:
This matchup will be an interesting one in that both teams have gone through some rough patches, recently. The Rangers will simply be looking to obtain a win in which to increase their position in the division while the Mariners will look to remain as dominant against this team as they have been in the past. It would be important to mention that the Mariners have won 3 of their last 4 meetings at SafeCo Field. With that being said, it will be interesting to see how the Mariners, after losing 3 of their last 5 games, come out to play in the finale of this series.
Against The Spread Selection: Seattle Mariners
My reason for the pick :
The Rangers were beginning to play well recently, however, they slowly descended back to earth lately as they have dropped some huge outings. While the Mariners have lost much of the momentum that they had gained from an outstanding winning streak lately, I continue to have confidence that they will come out of their funk. In all, I expect the Mariners to come out strong in the finale on Wednesday in that they seek to make up some ground in the division. Combine this with the fact that the Mariners have played well in the past few games at home along with the Rangers continuing to struggle both home and on the road, I will take the Mariners with confidence.
