The Houston Astros have won 4 of their last 5 games to where the O/U was 0-4-1.  Recently, the Astros swept the Oakland A’s in a 3-game road set on 5-9-2018.  The Champs went on to win a 3-game home series versus the Texas Rangers on 5-13-2018 while also winning a 3-game set versus the dangerous Los Angeles Angels on 5-16-2018.  In addition, Houston also performed well in game 1 of a 3-game home series versus the Cleveland Indians on 5-18-2018 in picking up a 4-1 win.

How San Francisco Giants & Houston Astros Matchup.

Vegas Odds, Offshore Odds, & Odds ATS:

For the season, the Houston Astros are 23-21 ATS while the O/U is 14-27-3.  On the other hand, the Giants are 26-18 ATS while the O/U is 23-20-1.

In-Depth Analysis of each team:

This matchup will be interesting in that, on one hand, the Astros have suddenly recaptured their momentum after a rough patch recently while the Giants have lost 8 of their last 11 games.  While one could look at this matchup and assume that this will not be much of a difficult matchup for the Astros, I feel as though the Giants will certainly make things interesting as this series progresses.  In all, each team can use an important win to either expand their current winning streak, or, to get back on track after a rough set of losses recently.

Against The Spread Selection: Houston Astros

My reason for the pick :

While I feel that the Giants will play well in this series, the fact remains that the Astros have indeed returned to form and have really played great baseball, lately.  In their last 5 wins, the Astros have outscored their opponents by a combined 27 runs to 6.  On the other hand, in the Giants last 5 losses, they were outscored 28-14.  This only says that the Giants not only continue to struggle offensively, but, they have had their problems on the mound as well.  It is for this reason that I will take the Astros to continue their stellar play on Tuesday night.
