How NY Mets & Milwaukee Brewers Matchup.

Vegas Odds, Offshore Odds, & Odds ATS:

For the season, the Mets are 22-23 ATS while the O/U is 20-24-1.  On the other hand, the Brewers are 30-20 ATS while the O/U is 19-29-2.

In-Depth Analysis of each team:

This matchup will feature two resurgent teams that will be looking to extend their streak of outstanding baseball.  The Mets have won 5 of their last 8 games while the Brew Crew have won 6 of their last 7 contests.  Jason Vargas (1-3) will be coming to the mound for the Mets while the Brewers will send out Chase Anderson (4-3) to the hill.  The Brewers lineup has had trouble in recent matchups facing Vargas while the Mets lineup has not had much experience versus Anderson either in the past.  It will be interesting to see how both lineups respond to the opposing pitchers on Saturday.

Totals Selection: Under

My reason for the prediction :

With opposing pitchers in Anderson and Vargas having so much experience and success against the opposing lineup(s), I will side with the under in this contest.  The Brewers have been able to score some runs recently, however, they have been known to go through spells to where their offense seems virtually nonexistent.  This will definitely be one of those games as Vargas will be solid in which to pick up his 2nd straight win in as many starts.  Anderson, on the other hand, will be as sharp as he has been in his past few starts as the runs will be indeed be scarce.
