How NY Mets & Milwaukee Brewers Matchup.
Vegas Odds, Offshore Odds, & Odds ATS:
For the season, the Mets are 23-23 ATS while the O/U is 20-25-1. On the other hand, the Brewers are 30-21 ATS while the O/U is 19-30-2.
In-Depth Analysis of each team:
This matchup will feature a Mets team looking gain some ground in their division versus a team in the Brewers who are attempting to continue their streak of outstanding baseball in winning 6 of 8 games. For the finale, Zack Wheeler (2-4) will face Jhoulys Chacin (3-1) who has had a great year thus far. While the Brewers have not had much experience facing Wheeler in the past, Lorenzo Cain (1-3), Nick Franklin (2-2), Herman Perez (2-3), and Domingo Santana (2-3) has had success against him in the past. On the other hand, Jay Bruce (3-10), Asdrubel Cabrera (2-12), Michael Conforto (5-12), Wilmer Flores (4-10), and Adrian Gonzalez (8-22) have had the most experience and success against Chacin in their careers.
Totals Selection: Over
My reason for the prediction :
With Wheeler, who has not won a start in 4 tries, coming to the mound, it would be safe to say that he will be inclined to give up some runs. On the other hand, Chacin has not had much success against the Dodger lineup during this career. With this being the case, I will side with the over in this contest simply because I expect the Brewers lineup to dominate Wheeler over the course of the game while Chacin’s trouble against the Dodger lineup will certainly be exposed at some point. In all, I expect runs to be scored in this game, well over the set total.
