Milwaukee Brewers 's Latest Performance :

The Brewers have won 4 of their last 5 games to where the O/U was 1-4.  Recently, he Brewers would pick up a 3-game road series win against the hot Minnesota Twins on 5-20-2018.  They followed this series up with yet another solid performance in a 3-game home set versus the Arizona Diamondbacks to where they swept the series on 5-23-2018.  They would, however, come out flat in game 1 of a 4-game set at the Mets and would lose 5-0, yet, won game 2 by a score of 4-3 on 5-25-2018.

For the season, the Brewers are averaging 4.00 runs per game (24th) with a team batting average of .242 (16th), 63 homers (8th), and 34 stolen bases on the year (6th).  Their pitching staff has an ERA of 3.36 (4th) with 439 strikeouts (11th), along with 15 quality starts (29th).

How St. Louis Cardinals & Milwaukee Brewers Matchup.

Vegas Odds, Offshore Odds, & Odds ATS:

For the season, the Cardinals are 20-28 ATS while the O/U is 17-26-5.  On the other hand, the Brewers are 31-21 ATS while the O/U is 19-31-2.

In-Depth Analysis of each team:

Winning is beginning to become contagious for the Brewers as they have won 9 of their last 12 games.  On the other hand, the Cardinals have dropped 8 of their last 12 games, yet, look to shore up their vulnerabilities against a team that is very familiar with its game plan.  The pitchers for this matchup have not been assigned, however, it would be important to note that the Cardinals pitching staff, in the team’s last 4 losses, have given up 25 runs while the Brewers have only allowed 7 runs in their last 4 wins.  With this being an NL Central matchup, one can certainly expect this to be a competitive matchup on Monday between a team looking to continue its current momentum against a team looking for a spark that comes in the form of a win.

Against The Spread Selection: Milwaukee Brewers

My reason for the pick :

The Brewers are simply trending in the right direction at this point in the season.  They are winning by solid pitching along with obtaining timely hits that score runs.  I expect them to come out focused and ready to dominate the Cardinals much like they did earlier in the season.  Besides, the Cardinals have had to deal with inconsistencies at the mound, the plate, along with a myriad of injuries recently, and this will certainly limit them as to the overall firepower that they can present against a dangerous Brewer team.
