How Washington Nationals & Atlanta Braves Matchup.
Vegas Odds, Offshore Odds, & Odds ATS:
For the season, the Braves are 30-24 ATS while the O/U is 26-25-3. On the other hand, the Nationals are 28-25 ATS while the O/U is 22-29-2.
In-Depth Analysis of each team:
Though the Braves have dropped 5 of their last 9 games, they are, however, winners of 3 of their last 4 games and looking for a great showing against the Nationals in which to potentially take over 1st place in the NL East. The Nationals’ offense, on the other hand, have also picked up some wins after a rough patch of place recently and have won 5-straight and looking to separate themselves from the second place Braves. This will certainly be an interesting matchup on Friday and one that will set the tone of what will be a very competitive weekend series.
Against The Spread Selection: Washington Nationals
My reason for the pick :
The pitchers for both teams have not been determined, however, with the type of pitching staff that the Nats possess, I will have to think that they will possess a slight edge in this area. The Braves staff has pitched well lately and are very talented as well, however, I expect the stellar play from the Nationals to continue against a very good Braves team in game 2 in which to preserve their top ranking within the division. While the Braves are 5-3 in their last 8 home games, the Nats have won 11-1 in their last 12 road games. The under can also be the play in Friday’s matchup as well.
