Pick, Prediction, & Preview:
Milwaukee Brewers vs Cleveland Indians
The Indians will welcome the Brewers to Progressive Field as the two teams will go head to head in a short interleague 2 game series. The Indians are on top of the AL Central while the Brewers are on top of the NL Central. This will be their 2nd meeting this season, in the first meeting both teams were able to win one game apiece.
Milwaukee Brewers 's Latest Performance :
The Brewers are coming off a rare series loss against the White Sox after shutting them out in the previous game, the Brewers were unable to secure its seventh straight series. With the series loss, the Brewers are still on top of the Central division with a record of 37-23 the Brewers still have a 4 game cushion over the Cubs. Despite the Brewers hot streak is over, the team must not panic and has to understand that the regular season is not a sprint but a marathon. The silver lining from the series win streak reminded them how good the Brewers can become down the line. They will now hit the road for a 5 game road trip, the Brewers are 19-12 when playing on the road this season.
Travis Shaw will have to be on his A game when the Brewers go and play the Indians, he is the team leader in homers and RBIs with 13 and 36 respectively. He is having a great season for the Brewers so far as the team will look to get back on track with a road victory over the Indians. He is slashing .250/.342/.505 on the season. He was charged with 2 walks in his last outing. The Brewers are too good of a team to let one bad series affect them, there is a reason why this team won 7 straight series.
Pitching for the Brewers will be Chase Anderson. He took the loss in his last outing Friday against the White Sox in Chicago, but he left in the sixth inning with the score tied and a runner on first base with two outs. He is 2-2 with a 2.67 ERA on the road this season.
Cleveland Indians's Latest Performance :
The Indians are coming off a series loss against the Twins on the road. The Indians will be returning home for a two-game series against the Brewers. The Indians are a very solid team when playing at home this year they are 18-11. Coming into this series the Indians are ranked 21st in pitch with a 4.34 ERA the bullpen has really been costing them important games on the road this season. They are also 6th best when it comes to scoring with 291 runs scored this season.
Michael Brantley hit a solo homer. It was the only hit of the game for him. It came off of Addison Reed to tie the game at 5-5 in the eighth inning, it was his 10th homer of the season. Since coming off the disabled list in the middle of April he has been excellent, and he now owns a .323/.369/.549 line for his efforts over 48 games. Edwin Encarnacion homered twice and drove in four runs, has 16 homers and 40 RBI in 2018, and his OPS is now up to .834 on the year. The Indians will need another offensive burst from the two batters when they play the Brewers.
Pitching for the Indians will be Carlos Carrasco. Over his last two starts, hitters have gone 10-for-18 with five extra-base hits and 10 runs scored against the righty with two outs. He allowed six runs on seven hits in 3 2/3 innings in a loss to the Twins on Friday. He owns a 4.50 ERA with a 1.18 WHIP.

Milwaukee Brewers will be able to steal a game on the road over the Indians, the Brewers have been playing well on the road all season and I don’t see them slowing down anytime soon the Brewers will reach 20 road wins after a victory over Indians. Anderson will put up yet another masterful pitching performance but he hopes that his bullpen will be able to close out the game this time around.
