Pick, Prediction, & Preview:
Boston Red Sox vs Baltimore Orioles
The O’s will welcome the Red Sox to Oriole Park as the two teams will go head to head in a 3 game series, the Red Sox are 2nd in the AL East division while the O’s are in the last place of the division.
Boston Red Sox's Latest Performance :
The Red Sox will begin their 10 game road trip first up they will be playing the O’s in a three-game series. The Red Sox are now in second place of the division with a record of 44-22, they are 21-11 when playing on the road this season. It will be a great confidence booster for the Red Sox after dropping a game against the White Sox which costs them the lead in the division. Coming into this series the Red Sox are the best batting team in the Major with 341 runs scored this season. The Red Sox will be just fine it is a guaranteed that they will make the postseason the team priority right now is keeping everyone on the team healthy.
J.D. Martinez is having the best first season with the Red Sox he has done a really good job carrying the team while Betts is still out with an injury. Martinez is off to an MVP-caliber start to the season and is even poised for a run at a potential Triple Crown. He leads the majors with 21 home runs and 54 RBI and ranks seventh in the American League with a .316 batting average, look for him to be a factor on the road for the Red Sox.
Pitching for the Red Sox will be Chris Sales. Though the lanky lefty has lost three straight starts for the fifth time in his career, he was magnificent last time out, striking out 10 and allowing one run in eight innings against the White Sox. He owns a 2.83 ERA with a .93 WHIP.
Baltimore Orioles's Latest Performance :
The Orioles couldn’t figure out the Blue Jays batters as they lost in a 4 series sweep, things don’t get much better for the O’s as they will get ready to face the Red Sox in a 3 game series at home. The O’s have one of the worst home records in the Major they are 10-18 when playing at home this season. It is no surprise that the O’s are heading towards rebuilding they are 28th in pitching with a 4.98 ERA and 29th in scoring with 229 runs scored this season. The O’s will have to start from scratch and start building the team from the ground up again, trade their star player Manny Machado for future picks. It won’t be an easy series against the Red Sox. Alex Cobb lasted just 3 2/3 innings and allowed nine earned runs on 11 hits.
Trey Mancini went 2-for-4 with a homer. His homer was a solo shot off of Marco Estrada, and it gives him eight on the season. He’s really been struggling with the bat as of late, but that’s true about pretty much everyone in the Baltimore lineup. Still, his .233/.309/.381 line over 62 games. He and Manny will have to be on their A-game when the Red Sox come to town.
Pitches for the Orioles will be Andrew Cashner pitched six innings of three-run ball against the Blue Jays in his last outing, giving him back-to-back quality starts. Cashner leaned heavily on his four-seam fastball and splitter, throwing his slider just seven times.

Against The Spread Selection: Boston Red Sox
My reason for the pick :
Chris Sales will finally end a 3 game skid as he will pick up the win against the O’s by putting on a pitching display he hopes that the Red Sox bullpen can hold their ground and close out the game. The Red Sox batter will be hitting the ball left and right attacking the O’s pitcher, the O’s will keep on struggling at home as they will have no answer for the Red Sox.
