Minnesota Twins vs Cleveland Indians
The Indians will welcome back the Twins to Progressive Field for game number 2 of the three-game series. The Indians are first in the AL Central division while the Twins are in 3rd place. This will be their 3rd meeting of the year with the Twins leading the season series 1-0, the second meeting ended up in a 1-1 split.
Minnesota Twins's Latest Performance :
The Twins will cap off their 6 game road trip against the division leader Indians. The Twins are now in 3rd place of the division with a record of 29-35 on the year, they are not a good road team at all they only managed to win 12 games while losing 18. Playing against the Indians will give them the opportunity to cut into the gap as they are now 5 games behind the Indians. Coming into this series the Twins are 19th in pitching with a 4.17 ERA and 22nd in scoring with 273 runs scored this season. The Twins bullpen must do a better job as allowing 4 runs in the 8th innings isn’t going to cut it.
Eduardo Escobar went 2-for-4 and drove in two runs. He opened the game’s scoring by knocking in two runs with a single in the first inning. He added a triple later in the ballgame. The third baseman is swinging a strong stick this year, slashing .291/.341/.570 with 12 home runs and 41 RBI in 237 at-bats. In the past 14 games, his numbers have been significantly good he is hitting .407 with five home runs, eight doubles, and 18 RBIs. He is hoping that he will be able to carry over his batting numbers when he steps up to the plate at Progressive Field.
Pitching for the Twins will be Fernando Romero. He won his last start, on Sunday against the Angels, with five innings of three-run ball. Romero earned a no-decision vs. the White Sox on June 5 after he allowed two runs on seven hits and struck out four over six innings.

Against The Spread Selection: Cleveland Indians
My reason for the pick :
The Indians should be able to handle the Twins at home as they will extend their lead on top of the AL Central division. The Indians will bounce back in a huge way after a hard-fought series against the White Sox as they can’t afford to drop games against the teams that have no chance of making the postseason, the Indians are a better team than that and they know it.
The Indians will start this 9 game homestand on the right foot by picking up a win at home over the Twins.
