Toronto Blue Jays's Latest Performance :
The Blue Jays are losers of 3 of their last 5 games to where the O/U was 2-3. On 6-3-2018, the Jays would win a 4-game road set against the Baltimore Orioles getting the sweep on 6-10-2018; Nonetheless, they would also wind up getting swept in their following 3-game road set versus the Tampa Bay Rays on 6-13-2018. Aaron Sanchez (3-5, 72.2 IP, 38 R, 67 H, 8 HR, 42 BB, 58 SO with an ERA of 4.33) has also been a pivotal piece to the rotation, despite his lackluster performances this season.

In-Depth Analysis of each team:
The game 1 starter for Atlanta has not been named, however, Jaime Garcia (2-5) will come to the mound on Tuesday looking to erase the remnants of his last outing to where he pitched 5 innings while allowing 4 runs on 4 hits in a 4-1 road loss the Tampa Bay Rays on 6-12-2018. Garcia has been credited with 23 runs in his last 7 games while the under has been the play in 5 of his last 6 starts. He does, possess a high ERA of 5.71 for the year while the Blue Jays are 1-4 in their last 5 starts with Garcia on the mound. Garcia is also 0-2 in his last meetings with NL teams allowing 7 earned runs on 11 hits, overall. The Braves have enjoyed facing Garcia in the past as Peter Bourjos (1-4), Tyler Flowers (1-2), Freddie Freeman (.250 BA on 8 AB), Ender Inciarte (.222 BA on 9 AB), Nick Markakis (.286 BA on 7 AB), and Kurt Suzuki (1-2) have seen much success against the left-hander in their careers.
The game 2 starter for the Braves have also not been announced, however, JA Happ (8-3) will come to the mound once again as he looks to continue his solid pitching streak lately. In his last outing, Happ pitched 5 innings while allowing no runs on only 1 hit in a tough-luck 1-0 loss on the road to the Rays on 6-13-2018. Happ has only been credited with 8 earned runs in his last 5 games while the under has been the result in 3 of his last 5 starts. The Jays are 4-2 overall in his last 6 starts while being 4-1 in his last 5 outings at Rodgers Centre. Peter Bourjos (0-3), Ryan Flaherty (0-1), Ender Inciarte (0-4), and Kurt Suzuki (.143 BA on 7 AB) have had little to no success against Happ in the past; However, Tyler Flowers (1-2) and Nick Markakis (.300 BA on 10 AB) have had much experience and success against the left-hander in the past.
Against The Spread Selection: Game 1: Atlanta Braves
My reason for the pick :
In game 1, I see the Braves pulling out a winning performance against Garcia as they have had their way with him in the past. The Braves are not only 10-4 in last 14 home games, but, their pitching staff has only allowed 2.6 runs in their last 5 games (all at home). The offense continues to struggle averaging only 3.6 runs per game during this time, however. Nonetheless, Garcia could be exactly what this struggling lineup needs. In all, expect the Braves to come out strong in game 1 in which to set the tone for the short series by getting the victory.
Totals Selection: Game 2: Under
My reason for the prediction :
In game 2, I will most certainly side with the under. Happ has been fantastic all year long and with his history against many within the Braves lineup, I expect him to perform marvelously in front of the Toronto faithful on Wednesday night. Happ has allowed on 12 earned runs at home in the last 5 starts, with 7 of those runs being a miserable outing against the Seattle Mariners to where he pitched 3.1 innings while allowing 7 runs on 10 hits on 5-10-2018. Nonetheless, the under has been the play for both teams in 6 of their last 8 games combined and with the under also being a common result with Happ on the mound, I expect there to be very little base-running in this matchup in game 2.
