Boston Red Sox's Latest Performance :

The Red Sox will cap off their 10 game road trip against the Twins as they will be playing them in a 3 game series. The Red Sox have a record of 48-24 they are second in the AL East division 1 game behind the leader Yankees. The Red Sox are 25-13 when playing on the road this season. Coming into this series the Red Sox are 5th best in pitching with a 3.42 ERA and 2nd in batting with 362 runs scored this season. They have a very deep batting rotation nearly every batter on the team can make an immediate impact on the game.

Players to watch in this series:

Mookie Betts, ever since he has been inserted back into the batting line up he is starting to look like the Player he was when he started the season, he should have a major impact in the 3 game series against the Twins.  He leads the big leagues in batting average (.346), OPS (1.136) and slugging percentage (.712) while also ranking second in runs scored (55). The Red Sox offense is very dangerous and they just need one player to get going in the game and once they have the lead they are very hard to beat.

Xander Bogaerts went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer. He has homered in back-to-back games, and he has upped his season line to .280/.342/.514 in the process. Not to mention J.D. Martinez is having a great first season with the Red Sox he already has 22 homers with 55 RBIs with 68 games played this season.

Probable Pitchers for this series:

Game 1: Chris Sales, He allowed a total of two runs and striking out 19 over 14 innings. In 13 career appearances at Target Field, Sale is 5-3 with a 4.60 ERA. Opponents are hitting .192 against Sale this season.

Game 2: David Price, the lefty has been tremendous in recent weeks, going 6-0 with a 2.64 ERA in his last seven starts. Last time out, Price stifled the M’s, holding them to five hits and a run in seven innings. Lifetime at Target Field, Price is 4-3 with a 2.93 ERA.

Minnesota Twins's Latest Performance :

The Twins are coming off an impressive series win over the Indians. The Twins will be back at Target Field for a 6 game homestand beginning Tuesday. The homestand opens with a three-game series against the Red Sox. With the series win over the Indians, the Twins were able to close the gap in the standings as the Twins are only 4 games back of the top spot in the division. Playing against the Red Sox will be a challenge for the Twins considering how well the Red Sox are batting right now. Coming into this series the Twins are 20th in batting with 289 runs scored this season and 19th in pitching with a 4.12 ERA on the season.

Player to watch in this series: Eddie Rosario, he went 4-for-4 with a solo home run, a double, an RBI single, a stolen base and four runs scored. He played an all-around game in his last performance. He’s has been on fire lately, having homered in each of his last two games and doubling in each of his last four. Zooming out to look at his season as a whole, the 26-year-old outfielder owns a sharp .323/.362/.586 triple-slash with 16 home runs, 46 RBI, 50 runs scored and six steals across 266 at-bats. He should be able to provide problems for the Red Sox pitchers in the 3 game series. The Twins will look to carry over their great road performance into Target Field. The Twins are 17-17 when playing at home this season.

Probable Pitchers for this series:

Game 1: Jose Berrios, he has been on an impressive run, posting a 2.47 ERA over his last six starts. He gave up one run over six innings in a no-decision against the Tigers on Wednesday.

Game 2: Lance Lynn, After an 8.37 ERA in five April starts, he has settled down to register a 3.20 ERA over his last eight outings. He’s coming off a tough loss, allowing three runs over 6 2/3 innings against Detroit on Thursday.

Game 3: Kyle Gibson, he finally broke his streak of 12 straight starts without a win, outpitching Indians ace Corey Kluber for a victory on Friday. He allowed one run over seven innings and has a 2.20 ERA over his last five outings.

How Boston Red Sox & Minnesota Twins Matchup.

Vegas Odds, Offshore Odds, & Odds ATS:

Twins are 6-2 in their last 8 vs. a team with a winning record.

Red Sox are 21-8 in their last 29 after allowing 2 runs or less in their previous game.

Against The Spread Selection: Boston Red Sox

My reason for the pick :

Game 1: The Red Sox should take game 1 because of Chris Sales is on the mound and it is tough for the Twins to figure out his pitches.

Game 2: David Price will come through for the Red Sox in game 2 as the Red Sox will take a 2-0 series lead.

Game 3: Kyle Gibson will beat out Porcello as the Twins will beat out the Red Sox in the rubber game.

The Red Sox will beat out the Twins 2-1, the Red Sox batters will prove to be too much for the Twins to handle and on top of that, the Red Sox have the elite pitchers who can singlehandedly win you baseball games. The winning streak of the Twins will end as the Red Sox should be able to take this series win on the road the Twins.

Betting trends for Minnesota Twins:

  • Twins are 5-1 in their last 6 when their opponent allows 5 runs or more in their previous game.
