Los Angeles Angels's Latest Performance :
The Angels are coming off a series sweep against the Orioles they will now play their rival Mariners in a 3 game series. The Angels are starting to heat up again after losing out games late June. The Angels are 4th in the AL West division with a record of 43-41, the Angels have the talent to be a great team but the only they lack is consistency. Coming into this series the Angels are 12th in pitching with a 3.85 ERA and 12th in batting with 376 runs scored this season. Playing against the Mariners at this point of the season will tell us how the Angels match up against a good team like the Mariners. The Angels are 23-20 when playing on the road this season.
Player to watch in this series: David Fletcher, he went 2-for-4 and drove in two runs. After being called up he has been playing really well for the Angels and fit in perfectly into the Angels offense. The rookie infielder was called to the majors on June 13th and has been serving in a part-time role. He’s done a good job at the plate, slashing .324/.378/.412 with one homer and five RBI in 37 plate appearances. If he continues to bat well for the Angels he might see his playing time go up and this is a great opportunity for him to prove himself when the Angels play the Mariners.
- RBIs: Mike Trout (49)
- Homers: Mike Trout (24)
- Batting Average: Andrelton Simmons (.322)
Probable Pitchers for this series:
Game 1: Andrew Heaney, he will look to bounce back against the Mariners after he allowed eight hits and six runs over 3 1/3 innings in a no-decision vs. the Red Sox in his last start. He is 4-5 on the season with a 3.95 ERA.
Game 2: Jamie Barria, he pitched well in a losing effort against the Red Sox on Thursday, allowing two runs on four hits over his 5 1/3 innings. He has a 3.40 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, he will take the mound for the Angels Wednesday.
Game 3: Tyler Skaggs, he gave up two runs (one earned) over five innings. He has a 6-5 record, 2.64 ERA and 1.22 WHIP in 16 starts. He has 100 strikeouts in 92 innings. He will close things out for the Angels in the rubber game against the Mariners.
Seattle Mariners's Latest Performance :
The Mariners are on a 7 game winning streak as they return home from a perfect road trip as they get ready to play the Angels in a 3 game series. The Mariners are now only 1 1/2 games behind the Astros for the top spot in the division, they are 27-14 when playing at home this season. For the first time, the team has been 22 games over .500. The Mariners will face a tough challenge as the Angels have also been playing well of late. Coming into this series the Mariners are 13th in batting with 372 runs scored this season and 15th in pitching with a 3.97 ERA.
Player to watch in this series: Ryon Healy, finished 4-for-4 with three singles, a two-run home run, and three RBI. He wrapped up the month with a season-high eight home runs and 16 RBI. He is slashing .251/.284/.471. After slumping for so long he finally found his mojo on the mound all he needs is one game to get him going. I expect he will play a key factor for the Mariners at home against the Angels as the Mariners will do all they can to keep the winning streak alive.
- RBIs: Mitch Haniger (62)
- Homers: Nelson Cruz (21)
- Batting Average: Jean Segura (.336)
Probable Pitchers for this series:
Game 1: Wade LeBlanc, he will look to get back on track after giving up 10 runs (nine earned) and 18 hits in 10 1/3 innings over his last two starts. The 33-year-old threw five innings of two-run ball in a 5-3 win over the Angels on June 11.
Game 2: Mike Leake, he has gone 4-1 with a 2.22 ERA over his last eight starts, including a 6-3 victory over the Angels on June 12 when he allowed one run and four hits in six innings. He’s 3-1 with a 2.49 ERA in four careers starts vs. the Angels.
Game 3: Marco Gonzales, he is coming off his first career complete game, allowing six hits in a 4-1 victory over the Royals. Gonzales has two no-decisions this year vs. the Angels, giving up seven runs on 16 hits over 11 innings.
How Los Angeles Angels & Seattle Mariners Matchup.
Vegas Odds, Offshore Odds, & Odds ATS:

Angels are 7-3 in their last 10 games following a win.
Against The Spread Selection: Seattle Mariners
My reason for the pick :
The AL West division showdown will end by the Mariners beating out the Angels 2-1 at home, it will be a tough series for both teams because they are well matched. Considering how hot the Mariners are right now it is hard not to bet against them although the Angels will make a late push the Mariners will prove that they are too strong for the Angels when playing at home. The Angels shouldn’t view this series loss in a bad way but it is a chance for them to improve themselves because they will be going neck to neck against a top team in the same division and use this loss to win games against weaker teams. The Angels are too talented not to make a late run and push themselves into the postseason.
The Mariners to beat out the Angels 2-1 at home.
Betting trends for Los Angeles Angels:
- Angels are 4-9 in their last 13 after allowing 2 runs or less in their previous game.
Betting trends for Seattle Mariners:
- Mariners are 19-7 in their last 26 home games.
