Texas Rangers vs Boston Red Sox
The Red Sox will welcome the Rangers to Fenway Park as the two teams will go head to head in a 3 game series starting on Monday. The Red Sox have the best record in the Majors they are on top of the AL East division with 60 wins on the year while the Rangers are in the last place of the AL West. This will be their second meeting of the season, the Red Sox were able to win the first matchup 3-1 on the road.

Texas Rangers's Latest Performance :
The Rangers are currently on a 10 game trip as they will take on the Red Sox in a 3 game set, it hasn’t been a great season for the Rangers they are in the last place of the AL West division with a record of 39-50. The Rangers are 20-22 when playing on the road this season. Coming into this series the Rangers are 25th in pitching with a 4.67 ERA and 11th in batting with 403 runs scored this season. They will have to be at their absolute best considering how well the Red Sox are this year when playing at home.
Player to watch in this series: Shin-Shoo Choo, he has extended his on-base streak to 45 games. That is the longest streak in the league this season, he is hitting .335 during his on-base streak. He will have to do all he can to extend the streak against the Red Sox pitchers on the road. On the season he is slashing .291/.401/.503 with 17 homers and 42 RBI.
- RBIs: Nomar Mazara (56)
- Homers: Joey Gallo (21)
- Batting Average: Shin-Shoo Choo (.291)
Probable Pitchers for this series:
Game 1: Mike Minor, he let in four runs, three earned in six innings in his last start against the Astros. He has a 6-4 record with a 4.63 ERA and 1.20 WHIP in 16 starts. He takes the mound in the series opener against the Red Sox.
Game 2: Yovani Gallardo, he allowed four runs, three earned on eight hits over 5 1/3 innings in a win over the Tigers on Thursday. He will face a tough challenge as he will start on Tuesday against the Red Sox. He has an 8.17 ERA and 1.70 WHIP through 25 1/3 innings.
Game 3: Bartolo Colon, he pitched well in a losing effort against the Tigers on Friday night, surrendering three runs on five hits over his eight innings. He will carry a 4.65 ERA and 1.17 WHIP into a difficult matchup against the Red Sox in Boston on Wednesday.
Boston Red Sox's Latest Performance :
The Red Sox will be back at Fenway Park for a 7 game homestand beginning Monday. The homestand opens with a three-game series against the Rangers. The Red Sox are coming off a comfortable series win against the Royals and they are now 2 games ahead of their rivals Yankees. Playing against the Rangers at home will give the Red Sox the opportunity to extend their lead on top of the division. The Red Sox are 28-12 when playing at home this season. Coming into this series the Red Sox are the best team in batting with 467 runs scored this season and 7th in pitching with a 3.57 ERA.
Player to watch in this series: Xander Bogaerts, he has picked up 5 RBIs in his last two games although he might not be a household name he certainly has the talent to keep up with this heavy-hitting Red Sox team. He went 1-for-3 with a home run, two walks, two RBI, and two runs scored. He is slashing .276/.345/.513 with 14 home runs and 49 RBI in 70 games. I expect him to play really well against the Rangers. The Red Sox should be able to take advantage of teams that aren’t doing too well this season.
- RBIs: J.D. Martinez (73)
- Homers: J.D. Martinez (27)
- Batting Average: Mookie Betts (.336)

Game 2: Eduardo Rodriguez, he allowed three hits over six scoreless frames Wednesday in the Red Sox’s win over the Nationals. He was able to snap his 2 game losing streak as he will take a 10-3 record into his next outing Tuesday against the Rangers.
Game 3: Chris Sales, he hasn’t allowed a homer in his last 6 starts and picked up his 100th win in his last outing he returns to the mound to close things off against the Rangers in the rubber game. He has a 2.36 ERA and 0.89 WHIP after 19 starts. He leads the majors with 176 strikeouts and has issued 30 walks in 122 innings pitched.
How Texas Rangers & Boston Red Sox Matchup.
Vegas Odds, Offshore Odds, & Odds ATS:
Red Sox are 39-12 in their last 51 games vs. a team with a winning % below .400.
Rangers are 5-2 in their last 7 road games vs. a right-handed starter.
Against The Spread Selection: Boston Red Sox
My reason for the pick :
Returning home the Red Sox will be rejuvenated knowing that they have the best record in the Majors and playing against the Rangers at home shouldn’t be a problem for them as I predict a 3-0 series sweep for the Red Sox over the Rangers. The Red Sox has immense depth in their batting lineup which makes them very hard to stop Betts, J.D. and Bogaerts should be able to take care of business on the plate at home. For the Rangers, it will be a challenging series for them, however, Choo should be able to extend his on-base streak against the Red Sox but him alone won’t be enough to pull off an upset on the road.
Red Sox to sweep the Rangers at home 3-0.
