Tampa Bay Rays's Latest Performance :
The Rays will be back on the road again to take on the red-hot Twins in a four-game series. The Rays are currently on a roll themselves they are coming off a back to back shutout victory against the Mets at home and a walk-off victory against the Tigers, the Rays are now 2 games above .500 they are playing much better as of late they are 12-4 in their last 16 games. However, they aren’t a really a good road team they are 22-27 when playing on the road this season. Coming into this series the Rays are 4th best in pitching with a 3.52 ERA however they have to find ways to generate runs as they are 26th in batting with 347 runs scored this season.
Player to watch in this series: Daniel Robertson, he went 3-for-6 and drove in the winning run in the 10th as the Rays edged the Tigers 10-9 on Monday. He has quietly been the Rays’ best player this year, hitting .268/.394/.412 in 228 at-bats. He will be a factor in the series against the Twins, with the way he is batting he should be playing in the top half of the Rays batting line up.

- Batting Average: Matt Duffy (.307)
Probable Pitchers for this series:

He has become one of the top pitchers in the Major he is now 12-4 with a 2.09 ERA in 19 starts. He has 132 strikeouts and 44 walks in 115 innings. He starts things off for the Rays against the Twins on Thursday.
Game 2: Nathan Eovaldi, he pitched seven shutout innings while allowing just one hit and striking out nine in a 9-0 victory over the Mets on Sunday. He hasn’t allowed a run and the nine punch-outs with no walks ups his strikeout-to-walk ratio to an impressive 44/6 mark. He takes the mound on Friday.
Game 3: Chris Archer, he gave up three runs and six hits in 3 1/3 innings versus the Tigers in his return on Monday. He will have to play better against the Twins when he takes the mound in his next start. He is now 3-4 on the season with a 4.41 ERA and 1.38 WHIP.

Minnesota Twins's Latest Performance :
The Twins have now won 5 games in a row as they will cap off their 11 game homestand against the Rays in a 4 game set, the Twins have definitely turned it up in these last few games cutting into the lead of the Indians now they are only 8 1/2 games back. Coming into this series the Twins are 22nd in batting with 376 runs scored this season and 20th in pitching with a 4.33 ERA. They are 25-20 when playing at home this season, playing against the Rays will be a challenge for the Twins considering how well the Rays are playing. Although both teams are equally matched it will be interesting to see who will come out on top.
Player to watch in this series: Eduardo Escobar, although he didn’t get selected to the All-Star game he is definitely playing like one this year. He is slashing .270/.326/.524 with 52 RBIs and 14 homers. In his last outing, he went 3 for 4 on the plate and picked up an RBI. He will have to be on his A game if the Twins wants to close off this homestand on the right foot. He has been in involved in plenty of trade rumors will have to wait and see which team will pick him up before the trade deadline.

How Tampa Bay Rays & Minnesota Twins Matchup.
Vegas Odds, Offshore Odds, & Odds ATS:
Twins are 4-0 in their last 4 games vs. a right-handed starter.
Rays are 20-7 in their last 27 when their opponent scores 2 runs or less in their previous game.
Against The Spread Selection: Series split at 2-2
My reason for the pick :
With both teams playing really well, it is fair to say that this series will end in a split. The Twins will continue to play well at home but now it is about time that they will face some real competition as the Rays will put them to the test. It should be a well-contested series between the two teams as either team will have the advantage over another. Berrios should do well when he takes the mound for the Twins the first time All-Star would put up a masterful pitching performance and he should be able to pick up the win when he starts which is on Saturday. Both teams are doing good in their division but they aren’t a playoffs team the Twins are 2nd in the AL Central while the Rays are in 3rd in the AL East.
The 4 games series between the Twins and the Rays will end up in a split.
