Cleveland Indians's Latest Performance :
It is safe to say that the Indians will run away with the AL Central division crown, the Indians are enjoying a 7 1/2 game lead over the Twins. The Indians are coming off an impressive series victory over the Yankees. The Indians will have the opportunity to improve their 21-24 road record playing against the Rangers. Coming into this series the Indians are 14th in pitching with a 4.00 ERA and 4th best in batting with 487 runs scored this season. The Indians have definitely turned up the switch towards the end of the first half of the season to pull away from the group. This will make the Indians second half of the season much more relaxed and no pressure from the teams in the same division as they will prepare the team for the postseason.
Player to watch in this series: Jose Ramirez, he leads the Major with 57 extra base hit. That includes 29 homers, 26 doubles, and two triples. He’s rocked five home runs over the last five contests. He will be looking to end the second half of the season strong as he should be a problem for the Rangers pitchers when he steps on to the plate.

Texas Rangers's Latest Performance :
The Rangers will begin their second half of the season by opening up a 7 game homestand, they will be playing the Indians in a 3 game set. The Rangers are in the last place of the AL West division with a record of 41-56. It has been a tough year for the Rangers as they can’t seem to get it going this season and playing in a tough AL West division makes the task impossible. Coming into this series the Rangers 15th in batting with 424 runs scored this season and 24th in pitching with a 4.61 ERA. The Rangers are not that great at home this season they are only able to win 19 games while losing 28. The Rangers will be looking for a young pitching before the trade deadline after their veteran failed to produce this season.
Player to watch in this series: Shin-Soo Choo, he has been an offensive star for the Rangers this season. He is slashing .290/.400/.496 with 17 home runs, 42 RBI and a trio of steals in 89 games. He’s collected hits in eight of his last 10 games, with four multi-hit showings in that space. He is also coming off his first all-star appearance. He will look to extend his on-base streak against the Indians. So many great players playing on bad teams this shows you how high the talent level is in this league.

Vegas Odds, Offshore Odds, & Odds ATS:
Rangers are 20-42 in their last 62 vs. a team with a winning record.
Indians are 59-20 in their last 79 vs. a team with a losing record.
Against The Spread Selection: Cleveland Indians
My reason for the pick :
We can clearly see who has a better team coming into this series, the Indians will have the opportunity to extend the lead on top of the AL Central division as I predict a 3-0 series sweep for the Indians as they will now have a winning road record. It is tough for the Rangers to compete at this point of the season due to the lack of talent the Rangers got this season makes it tough for them to make an impact this season. The Rangers will be looking for a young pitcher and this means that the Rangers are going to blow up this team and start from scratch. It is a better choice for the Rangers to take this route because it is better for them to be a great team in the future rather than being stuck in mediocrity for a very long time.
The Indians batters will come through for the team against the Rangers on the road as the Indians will take a commanding 3-0 series win. Lindor, Ramirez, and Brantley will all have big games in the three-game series.
Betting trends for Cleveland Indians:
- Indians are 4-0 in their last 4 road games vs. a team with a losing record.
Betting trends for Texas Rangers:
- Rangers are 17-38 in their last 55 when their opponent scores 5 runs or more in their previous game.
