Tampa Bay Rays's Latest Performance :
The Rays will be playing on the road for 4 games against the Orioles, it would be a great opportunity for them to improve on their winning record, they are 23-30 when playing on the road this season. The Rays are now in 3rd place of a very tough AL East division. They are coming off a hard-fought series against the Yankees so playing against the Orioles on the road should be an easier matchup for them. The Rays are hoping that they can carry the momentum they have at home on to the road since June 11, the Rays are 16-3 at home the second best record in the Majors just behind the Red Sox. Coming into this series the Rays are 6th in pitching with a 3.40 ERA and 22nd in batting with 421 runs scored this season.
Player to watch in this series: Jake Bauers, he went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer, a double, and two runs scored. Baltimore Orioles's Latest Performance :
The Orioles will cap off their 7 game homestand against the Rays in a four-game series. The Orioles have the worst record in the Majors they are 28-73 this season. Since losing Machado to the Dodgers it was clear that the O’s will be focusing on rebuilding the team for the future in the second half of the season. They are on a 4 game losing streak when playing at home they are 16-34. Coming into this series the O’s are 29th in batting with 357 runs scored this season and 28th in pitching with a 4.88 ERA. With Machado gone it will take some time for the Orioles to get used to the scenery change.
Player to watch in this series: Jonathan Schoop, he will have to step for the O’s since Machado departure, in his last outing he went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run against the Red Sox. He’s up to 13 homers and 29 RBI on the season. He must look at his situation on the bright side and use this opportunity for a chance to grow and become a better batter. He is slashing 235/.267/.417 n 342 plate appearances this season.

Vegas Odds, Offshore Odds, & Odds ATS:
Orioles are 15-42 in their last 57 vs. American League East.
Rays are 4-0 in their last 4 vs. American League East.
Against The Spread Selection: Tampa Bay Rays
My reason for the pick :
The Rays will be able to sweep the Orioles on the road despite not playing well on the road this season. The Rays are 4-0 when playing the team in the same division. Playing against the Yankees in their previous series would certainly help them play well because they are coming off a competitive series where high-quality baseball is being played. The O’s will have to wait for their first win in the second half of the season. The Rays will be coming into this series full of confidence as they would want to keep the momentum going against the O’s. At this point of the season, the O’s shouldn’t be really concerned about not winning games because they are already looking ahead into the future while the Rays will make one last push to give themselves a chance of playing in the postseason.
The Rays to sweep the Orioles on the road 4-0.
