Against The Spread Selection: Pittsburgh Pirates
My reason for the pick :
The Pirates will continue to be on fire as they will take the series win over the Cardinals 2-1. The Pirates are firing on all cylinders and they have been great at home all season long. As for the Cardinals, Carpenter will have a good series he will soon realize that he won’t be able to take Pirates alone. The team chemistry for the Pirates is at all time high and it makes hard for any team in the Major to beat them at home. With the moves, the Pirates pulled off acquiring Archer from the Rays tells us that the Pirates are going to make a run for the Wild Card spot. With 54 games to go the Pirates have a lot of reasons to feel optimistic about the way, this season is shaping up being positive on the pitch might be their secret ingredient moving forward.
