Atlanta Braves's Latest Performance :
The Braves come into this game losers of 4 of their last 5 games to where the O/U is 1-4. Recently, after sweeping the Marlins at home in a 4-game set on 8-15-2018, the Braves would be swept by the surging Colorado Rockies at home in a 4-game set on 8-19-2018. They would recover in game 1 of the following series as they would get the slim 1-0 road victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates in a 3-game set on 8-20-2018.
For the season, the Braves are averaging 4.85 runs per game (6th) with a team batting average of .261 (3rd), 132 homers (18th) along with 64 stolen bases (10th). Their pitching staff has an ERA of 3.80 (8th) with 1034 strikeouts (11th) along with 50 quality starts on the season (16th).

Mike Foltynewicz (10-7, 139 IP, 48 R, 106 H, 14 HR, 54 BB, 161 SO, 2.72 ERA) and Sean Newcomb (10-6, 135 IP, 59 R, 113 H, 14 HR, 64 BB, 123 SO, 3.73 ERA) have been bright spots on the mound for the Braves this year. Miami Marlins's Latest Performance :
The Marlins come into this matchup losers of 3 of their last 5 games to there the O/U was 4-1. After losing a 3-game home set to the Mets on 8-12-2018, the Marlins would go on to be swept in a 4-game road set versus the Braves in their following series on 8-15-2018. However, they would get the 12-1 win in the finale of a 3-game road set versus the Washington Nationals in their following series to get the series win on 8-20-2018.

How Atlanta Braves & Miami Marlins Matchup.
Vegas Odds, Offshore Odds, & Odds ATS:
For the season, the Braves are 64-60 ATS while the O/U is 60-59-5. On the other hand, the Marlins are 62-64 ATS while the O/U is 64-57-5.
In-Depth Analysis of each team:
There are no pitchers assigned for this matchup yet, however, the Braves have dominated this matchup in the past in winning 13 of the last 16 games including 4 of the last 6 at Marlins Park. The Marlins had lost 6 straight games before winning their last 2 contests while the Braves have gone 6-6 in their last 12 outings and have lost 4-straight. Matching up against this Marlins team could very well be their saving grace as they really need to pick up some wins in which to separate themselves from the Phillies along with a dangerous Nationals team. In all, expect another competitive outing for both teams, however, the Braves certainly have the inside tract in claiming some wins in this set.
Against The Spread Selection: Pick: Games 1, 2, 3, & 4: Atlanta Braves
My reason for the pick :
The Braves have a documented dominance over the Marlins. It is for this reason that I will expect Atlanta to gain some huge mojo in a series against a team that they seem to match up really well against. Runs will certainly be scored in this contest as the Braves have tagged the marlins pitching over their recent meetings. Combine this with the fact that the Braves will be looking to pick up some wins in which to maintain their number 1 position in the division, you can expect them to come out focused at the plate while its pitching will neutralize the bats for Miami throughout.
Totals Selection: Pick: Over
My reason for the prediction :
The Over has been the play in 9 of the last 16 games amongst these two squads while being the result in 5 of the last 6 games at Marlins Park. The over has also been the case in 4 of the last 5 games for the Marlins while being the result in 4 of the last 5 road games for the Braves. In all, the Braves should really increase their run per game average (currently 3.2 runs in last 4 games) in this series as the Marlins have allowed 41 runs to Atlanta in their last 6 games at home. In all, take the Braves with the over in this series as runs will certainly be scored.
Betting trends for Atlanta Braves:
- The Braves are 12-8 in last 20 games
- The Braves are 5-3 in last 8 road games
- The Over is 12-4-1 in Braves last 17 road games
Betting trends for Miami Marlins:
