How Houston Texans & Los Angeles Rams Matchup.

Vegas Odds, Offshore Odds, & Odds ATS:

In-Depth Analysis of each team:

Here you have two teams with struggling and young offenses that are attempting to obtain some momentum moving forward.  On the other hand, both defenses are young and aggressive units that are looking to make an impact in 2018. With that being said, this matchup will indeed be an interesting one as well as a test to see how far they have come thus far.  The Texans will definitely be looking to play well in which to obtain the win, however, the Rams, as miserable as they may be on offense, will look to regroup while finding much more consistency within the trenches in which to open up their running game a bit.

Against The Spread Selection: Pick: Los Angeles Rams -3

My reason for the pick :

I will take the Rams in this instance in that while they may not be clicking on all cylinders on offense, yet, their defense has proven that they can certainly keep their team in the game simply by remaining aggressive and opportunistic throughout the game.  The Texans offense has been lackluster thus far in the preseason and I do not expect them to find many holes against the Rams D.  Nonetheless, it is because of this inconsistency that I see the Rams coming out with yet another slim victory in which to gain confidence from.

Totals Selection: Pick: Under 42

My reason for the prediction :

I will back the under in this matchup in that, as stated, you have 2 teams that are struggling to move the ball thus far in the preseason that will be matching up against defenses that have done well lately in minimizing the damage that offenses are inflicting.  Expect the Texans to set the tone early in the trenches, however, the Rams will certainly be up to the challenge.  I see this matchup as being a defensive-minded contest that will certainly not surpass the 42-point mark.
