Seattle Mariners's Latest Performance :
The Mariners have lost 3 of their last 5 games to where the O/U was 4-1. Recently, after dropping a 3-game road set versus the Oakland athletics on 8-15-2018, the Mariners would also drop a 3-game home interleague set versus the Los Angeles Dodgers on 8-19-2018. After winning game 1 of a 3-game set versus the Houston Astros at home by a 7-4 score, the Mariners would drop game 2 by a 3-2 final on 8-21-2018.
Dee Gordon (.272 BA on 463 AB), Jean Segura (.316 BA on 481 AB), and Mitch Haniger (.277 BA on 459 AB) have been solid at the plate for the Mariners thus far. Kyle Seager (.223 BA on 465 AB) has also been pivotal to Seattle’s success this season.
Mike Leake (8-7) has pitched 146.2 innings while allowing 73 runs on 162 hits, 18 homers, 30 walks, and 90 strikeouts with an ERA of 4.11 while James Paxton (10-5) has pitched 139 innings while allowing 56 runs on 115 hits, 17 homers, 37 walks, and 175 strikeouts with an ERA of 3.70 for the season.
Arizona Diamondbacks 's Latest Performance :
The Arizona Diamondbacks have won 4 of their last 5 game to where the O/U was 3-2. After tying a 3-game road set versus the Texas Rangers on 8-14-2018 in interleague play, the D’backs would win a 4-game road set versus the San Diego Padres on 8-19-2018 while also winning game 1 of a 2-game interleague home set versus the Angels on 8-21-2018 by a 5-4 score.
David Peralta (.305 BA on 443 AB) and Paul Goldschmidt (.293 BA on 471 AB) have been the offensive stars for the Diamondbacks thus far. Nick Ahmed (.239 BA on 401 AB) has also been solid offensively for Arizona this season.

How Seattle Mariners & Arizona Diamondbacks Matchup.
Vegas Odds, Offshore Odds, & Odds ATS:
For the season, the Diamondbacks are 66-60 ATS while the O/U is 59-61-6. On the other hand, the Mariners are 64-63 ATS while the O/U is 62-63-2.
In-Depth Analysis of each team:
No pitchers have been assigned for this matchup for either team, however, Seattle continues to slip in the division rankings in losing a combined 5 of their last 8 games after winning 6 of 8 prior. Arizona, on the other hand, are beginning to find their mojo once again as they are winners of 6 of their last 8 games to plate 47 runs during this time. Their pitching staff has surrendered 30 runs during this time. While Arizona certainly will have the momentum behind them to begin the series, they will likely receive some help at the mound from the Seattle pitching staff as they have allowed 34 runs in their last 5 outings while the offense 16 runs during this time. In other words, the M’s are struggling and an interleague road matchup with a dangerous D’backs team may spell disaster.
Totals Selection: Pick: Games 1, 2, & 3: Over
My reason for the prediction :
The over has been the play in 5 of the last 9 games for the D’backs while has been the result in 5 of the last 8 games for the Mariners. Couple this with the fact that the D’backs lineup has awoken yet again to put up an average of a tad under 6 runs per game in their last 6 contests along with the Mariners pitching struggling while allowing an average of 7 runs per game in their last 5, I can certainly see this as being an offensive minded set amongst two teams looking to either create some cushioning between themselves and other division teams, or, simply trying to string together some wins to recapture the fire they possess only weeks ago.
