Pick, Prediction, & Preview:
Boston Celtics vs Milwaukee Bucks
The 2 seed Boston Celtics and the 7 seed Milwaukee Bucks return to the BMO Harris Bradley Center for game 6 of the Eastern Conference 1st round of the playoffs in what has been a back and forth matchup. The Bucks have not reached the 2nd round of the playoffs since the 2000-2001 season where they lost in the ECF. Boston made it out of the 1st round in 2017 and wound up losing to the Cavaliers in 4 games during the ECF.
Boston Celtics's Latest Performance :
Jaylen Brown Show
The Boston Celtics have been able to replace the missing scoring from Kyrie Irving with the young Jaylen Brown as he has had some great games in the playoffs, but the problem is outside of Brown and occasionally Tatum and Rozier the Celtics receive no scoring. The Celtics have basically thrown all of the guys who would be bench players for the Celtics when everyone is healthy into the starting lineup which leaves them with G-league players off the bench. Jaylen Brown played in 41 minutes in game 4 and dropped 34 points in the process, but when the Celtics brought in their bench players such as Shane Larkin, Semi Ojeleye, Greg Monroe, and Guerschon Yabusele they only received 2 points from the bunch compared to the Bucks Parker giving the team 18 points off the bench. Another problem for the Celtics in game 4 was their shooting percentage as the Bucks outshot the Celtics by 10.7 % as the Bucks shot 52.1 compared to the Celtics shooting 41.4. Terry Rozier has also been rattled after Eric Bledsoe slandered him in the media as Rozier was dominant in the first few games, but as we saw in game 4 Rozier has struggled to shoot in Milwaukee as he went 3 for 12 from the field, and shot 2 for 10 from three. The Celtics will need to receive a big game from Rozier and Brown similar to their game 2 performance where the duo combined for 53 points in a Celtics 14 point win.
Milwaukee Bucks's Latest Performance :
Another Big Game From Parker
The Milwaukee Bucks were able to even the series 2-2 after some great wins in their home arena during games 3 and 4, and they have now put themselves in prime position to take this series. The Bucks won game 4 on a late game tip in from their superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo as he propelled the Bucks to a 104-102 victory over the 2nd seeded Celtics. The Bucks have continuously received great efforts from both Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton as they have dropped 20+ in every playoff game. Giannis Antetokounmpo had another excellent game as he was able to drop 27 points and grab another 7 boards and Middleton has continued being that second scorer as he dropped 23 points. The difference in their wins has been the bench scorer from Jabari Parker as he has been the main reason that the Bucks have won. Parker has been in double figures in both wins as he had 17 points in game 3 and had 18 in game 4. Parker could easily start, but bringing him off the bench has been more effective as Parker doesn’t only score for the Bucks but gives them a ton of energy off the bench. I am a firm believer that the Bucks have another gear in them as they have yet to get Eric Bledsoe going in the playoffs as he only contributed 9 points and 5 assists in game 4.

Against The Spread Selection: Milwaukee Bucks*
My reason for the pick :
The Bucks have been playing well at home in the first round and the Bucks fans can finally feel this team coming together which will give them all the reason in the world to get behind Giannis and company. Giannis wants to take his young legacy to another level and that is to be a consistent playoff winner similar to LeBron James. Giannis and Middleton will continue giving the Bucks big games and will continue thriving off the lack of scoring from Boston. Bucks win game 6.
