Pick, Prediction, & Preview:

Oklahoma City Thunder vs Golden State Warriors

The Golden State Warriors will welcome the Oklahoma Thunder to Oracle Arena for their first regular season game. The Warriors are on a quest for a three-peat while the Thunder are looking to bounce back from a first-round exit against the Jazz. Game tips off at 10:30 PM ET.

Oklahoma City Thunder's Latest Performance :

The Thunder will look to have a better season after a disappointing loss to the Jazz in the first round. The Thunder added some new players to team point guard Dennis Schröder and Center Nerlens Noel, however, they lost out on Carmelo Anthony who went to the Rockets. One of the most surprising stories of this offseason was on Paul George the majority speculated that he would join the LA after the trade from the Pacers however, he agreed to a four-year, $137 million max contract with the Thunder. It will be interesting to see how he pairs up with Westbrook in many years to come. Paul George needed just 19 minutes to score 26 points. He already looks like he’s in mid-season form and is going to have an absurd usage rate this season. He added four rebounds, one assist, one steal, one block, and three triples. It will tough for OKC to compete against the Warriors on the road in their first regular season back, however, It will be a great game to tune in at 10:30.

Player to watch: Russell Westbrook, he should be ready to go for the season opener against the Warriors as he is making a comeback from a minor knee injury.

Golden State Warriors's Latest Performance :

The rich get richer that seems to be the case for the Warriors this past offseason as they acquired Demarcus Cousin via free agency. With this move, it makes it impossible for any team to beat the Warriors. The core of the Warriors remains the same with Curry, Thompson, Durant, and Green. Great teams like the Warriors view the regular season as a practice where they can use to run offensive sets and see what line up works well together. Playing against OKC the only thing the Warriors need to do is limit Westbrook from having a good game because he is the catalyst of the Thunder offense. Look for the Warriors to put up a good show for the home fan in their first game back at Oracle Arena.

Player to watch: Stephen Curry, he is having a terrific preseason Curry is now in his 10th year and he makes the game look so effortlessly. He finished his final preseason game against the Lakers by putting up 16 points in 12 mins.  He appears to be in mid-season form and has shot 60% from the field in all his preseason games.

How Oklahoma City Thunder & Golden State Warriors Matchup.

Vegas Odds, Offshore Odds, & Odds ATS:

Warriors are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games playing on 3 or more days rest.

Thunder are 2-9 ATS in their last 11 Tuesday games.

Against The Spread Selection: Golden State Warriors

My reason for the pick :

The Warriors should be able to breeze past the Thunder in their first home game of the season. With Curry already in tip-top shape look for him to get his shots up early. This Warriors team is loaded in all the positions. If one player on the team has a bad game you will know that the other all-stars on the team will carry the scoring load for them. Every team playing against the Warriors this season will have a very tough time. For the Thunder, they will need some time to work on their team chemistry since Schröder just got traded to the Thunder, however, the Thunder shouldn’t be a team that we should look past just because they are playing the Warriors in their first game.

The Warriors to beat the Thunder at home in their season opener.

Betting trends for Oklahoma City Thunder:

  • Thunder are 11-5 in last 16 overall.

Betting trends for Golden State Warriors:

  • Warriors are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall.
