Chicago Bulls vs Philadelphia 76ers
The Sixers will make their return to Wells Fargo Center as they welcome the young Bulls. The Sixers are coming off a lost against the Celtics in their season opener while the Bulls are playing their first regular season game on the road. Game tips off at 8:00 PM ET.
Chicago Bulls's Latest Performance :
The Chicago Bulls are a young team on the rise in the offseason they landed Jabari Parker from the Bucks he is expected to be a focal point of the second unit offense. Zach Lavine is also returning from injury. The Bulls have all the pieces to be great all they need now is the confidence that they can work together and win games. It will take some time for the young Bulls to develop into the players the franchise want them to be. Lauri Markkanen has the most upside to become a real cornerstone for this Bulls franchise. He has shown us that he got range and doesn’t shy away from big moments when his number is called. They drafted Wendell Carter Jr. he will spend his time mostly playing behind Robin Lopez. Playing against the 76ers they will have to be prepared to contain Emiid from dominating the paint early because that is how the 76ers are going to play the Bulls.
Player to watch: Jabari Parker, despite coming off the bench it will be good to see Parker playing basketball injury free again. He will open the season as the backup PF behind Bobby Portis which will allow the Bulls to put the ball in his hands more often. He is only 23 years old so he still has time to figure out his role in the NBA.
Philadelphia 76ers's Latest Performance :
The 76ers return home after a tough matchup against the Celtics in their first game. No need to panic for the Sixers because they are well aware of how good the Celtics are this year. After years of trusting the process, it looks like the 76ers have found the winning solution that will make them a playoffs team for many years to come. Ben Simmons, he started off his season by putting up a monstrous stat line scoring 19 points with 15 rebounds, eight assists, four steals and two blocks in 43 minutes. He is to have another great year for the 76ers. Joel Embiid had 23 points in his opener it wasn’t enough to bring home a victory on the road against the Celtics. He will need to work on his shot selection because shooting 9 of 21 won’t cut it, he had a tough time scoring against Horford his nemesis, however, he should do well against Chicago.
Player to watch: JJ Reddick, he was efficient off the bench for 76ers by scoring 16 points. He is the perfect pairing for Ben Simmons because he is not comfortable shooting from the outside and Reddick will complement him in that department. The 76ers hit combined 5-of-26 attempts from three in the season opener so his three will be needed when they welcome the Bulls.

Bulls are 10-3 ATS in their last 13 games playing on 3 or more days rest.
Against The Spread Selection: Philadelphia 76ers
My reason for the pick :
The 76ers will bounce back and take care of business at home by beating the Bulls. The Sixers will remind us all again that they are no longer a rebuilding team but a team who is a legit title contender. Embiid will have his ways against Lopez in the post. After getting beat by the Celtics in their first game they will be eyeing a blowout win in their first home opener. For the Bulls, they will have a tough time keeping up with Phillies, Parker will have a tough time in his debut as he will have to cover Simmons from time to time. It will be great to see that after years of rebuilding the Sixers are now one of the main powerhouses in the Eastern Conference.
The 76ers to beat the Bulls at home in their home opener.
