Chicago Bulls vs Atlanta Hawks

Chicago Bulls's Latest Performance :
The Bulls are coming off a lost against the Hornets after beating them a day ago despite the loss Zach Lavine still remain hot from the floor as he scored 20 points in 26 minutes of action. The Bulls lacked that defensively almost as much as they lacked healthy bodies Friday night at Spectrum Center. In particular, the transition defense again proved to be substandard as the Hornets repeatedly beat the Bulls downcourt to set up good shots and easy baskets. Payne was hot to start the game but there was just too much Kemba Walker to take the Bulls out of this one. He ended the game with 15 points. Jabari Parker scored 19 points but he still had to come off the bench despite Bobby Portis injury. Coach Fred Hoiberg wants Parker to stick to the second unit because he gives them another scoring option off the bench. Shaquille Harrison made his debut on the team after being cut by the Suns he scored 10 points, including two 3-pointers.
Atlanta Hawks 's Latest Performance :
The Hawks are off to a surprising 2-2 start to start off the young season. In their last time out, the Hawks were able to overcome a 26 points deficit. Leading the way for the Hawks was Kent Bazemore as he dropped a season-high 32 points with seven assists. Taurean Prince scored 24 efficient points on Wednesday, making 8-of-15 field goals and 3-of-4 free throws with a 5-of-9 mark from downtown. It is great to see that the Hawks have scorers that are not named Trey Young. Young struggled shooting the ball in the comeback win he was 3-for-12 shooting but did get himself to the line 10 times. His dribbling skills allow him to create separation from defenders. Alex Len played through a minor elbow injury but was able to put up seven points and grabbed seven rebounds. Going up against the Bulls the Hawks will have to find ways to contain Zach Lavine as he has been on a scoring tear as of late.

Bulls are 20-7 ATS in their last 27 vs. NBA Southeast.
Against The Spread Selection: Chicago Bulls +5
My reason for the pick :
I am taking the Chicago Bulls to win over the Hawks on the road in this game. Zach Lavine should have his way matching up with rookie Trey Young as I expect another 30 point outing for Lavine against the Hawks. For the Hawks, they are coming in winning back-to-back games but I don’t see them getting past the Bull in this game. It is hard to see Bazemore scoring 20 plus points on a nightly basis.
