Pick, Prediction, & Preview:
Phoenix Suns vs Oklahoma City Thunder
The Thunder are still looking for their first win of the season as they will welcome the Suns to Chesapeake Energy Arena. The Suns have now lost four straight games since their season opener against Dallas. Game tips off at 7:00 PM ET.
Phoenix Suns's Latest Performance :
The Suns have now lost four straight games and things don’t look like it is going to get better. The Suns were with their leader Devin Booker he was sidelined because of his hamstring. Rookie Ayton had to pick up the slack offensively for the Suns. Deandre Ayton made 12-of-13 from the field for 24 points with eight rebounds, five assists, one steal, and no turnovers in Booker absence. He’s played just five NBA games, averaging 17.8 points, 10 boards. The Suns are miles away from becoming good as they will have to take it one step at a time and can’t afford to rush the process, what the team needs right now is someone who can control tempo and make the right play when needed. The Suns can’t rely on Devin to do all the scoring as their offense will become too predictable if they play that way. Once the Suns land a good point guard then they will start competing in games but as for now, the Suns are heading to yet another rebuilding year.
Oklahoma City Thunder's Latest Performance :
The Thunder will have a great opportunity to pick up their first win of the season against the Suns. They are coming off a bad loss against the Celtics. The Thunder had a comfortable leading heading into the fourth and ended it up blowing it even with Russell back in the line up they are still winless. Paul George made 7-of-22 from the field for 22 points with eight rebounds against the Celtics in his last time out. I expect him to have a much better game against the Suns, a team that does play a lot of defense and have lost four games in a row heading into this game. Westbrook is listed as questionable in this same as he is dealing with a shoulder injury. Dennis Schroder would likely start while Hamidou Diallo could see more run after an impressive week. Schroder has to do a better job on the floor as he can’t afford to shoot 4-of-10 from the floor if he wants his first win of the season.

Against The Spread Selection: Oklahoma City Thunder
My reason for the pick :
The Thunder will pick up their first win of the season against the Suns as the Suns will drop their 5th game in a row. Paul George will be in command of the offense and will take matters into this own hands. For the Suns the season started off with high expectations now they are back to square one and trying to figure out what went wrong. Ayton is the real deal but his Suns teammates have to improve drastically.
