Pick, Prediction, & Preview:

New Orleans Pelicans vs Oklahoma City Thunder

The Thunder will welcome the New Orleans Pelicans to Chesapeake Energy Arena. The Thunder are coming off a win against the Wizards and are on a four-game winning streak while the Pelicans have now dropped five games in a row. Game tips off at 8:00 PM ET.

New Orleans Pelicans's Latest Performance :

The Pelicans have lost five games in a row they are coming off a loss against the Spurs. Anthony Davis returned to the lineup scoring 17 points (5-of-13 FGs, 0-of-2 3PTs, 7-of-10 FTs) with eight rebounds, three assists, two steals, and five blocks in 40 minutes. You can see during the game that he wasn’t himself he was playing with a brace on his elbow it was good to see him on the floor with his teammates since they have missed his presence on the floor. Jrue Holiday scored a season-high 29 points he continues to have the scoring touch but he was unfortunate that he was on the losing side of this game. Nikola Mirotic scored 22 points 9-of-16 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs with 16 rebounds which were a career high. He has six double-doubles this year, after totaling 12 all of last season Mirotic has found a new home for himself. The Pelicans are hoping to return to winning ways after a terrific start to the season but it will be a challenge considering how well the Thunder are playing right now as a unit.

Oklahoma City Thunder's Latest Performance :

The Thunder are hoping to keep the ball rolling as they will be eyeing a fifth straight win against the Pelicans. Leading the way for the Thunder was Russell Westbrook he led the team in scoring with 23 points and had four steals in the first half. He led the Thunder to a 79-point first half, which tied a team record for most points in a half. Steven Adams did a solid job containing Howard he will get to go up against Anthony Davis in his next matchup. Grant is coming off a career night scoring 22 points hitting 9-for-11 from the floor. He showed the team why he deserves to be a starter on this team. He was a big reason why the Thunder scored 79 first-half points. The team’s defense is better when he plays he will get another shot to impress after a performance like that. Paul George had a better shooting night as he scored 17 points while hitting 4-for-6 from range. The Thunder are firing on all cylinders and they will be very hard to slow down.

For the Pelicans, Anthony Davis continues to ease his way back from his elbow injury. Jrue Holiday will have a good game but he won’t be able to do enough to beat the Thunder on the road.
