Pick, Prediction, & Preview:

New Orleans Pelicans vs Toronto Raptors

The Raptors will welcome the Pelicans to Scotiabank Arena the Raptors are coming off a victory against the Knicks while the Pelicans were able to beat the Suns at home. Game tips off at 7:30 PM ET.

New Orleans Pelicans's Latest Performance :

The Pelicans are coming off a blowout win against the Suns in their last game. Anthony Davis led the way with 26 points with 13 rebounds, six assists, one steal, two blocks. Julius Randle in his first start of the season did not disappoint as he scored 22 points and grabbed 15 boards. Holiday did a fantastic job on Booker as he was able to limit the Suns’ star to only 12 points on the night. He finished the game with 19 points and six rebounds, nine assists, three steals. It was an easy win for the Pelicans at home but now they will face a tough task as they will hit the road. The Pelicans this season are 1-5 on the road this season and losing five straight on the road the last time they left Smoothie King they will hope for better results this time around. Toronto has one of the deepest team in the league and they are still undefeated at home. Anthony Davis will have to be on his A-game and do all he can to carry the Pelicans to a victory against the Raptors.

Toronto Raptors 's Latest Performance :

The Raptors still remain undefeated with Kawhi in the starting line up as they picked up their sixth straight win against the Knicks. Kawhi had a quiet night as he finished the game with only 12 points but it was the younger players that stepped their game up 24-year-old forward Pascal Siakam going off for a career-high 23 points, including three made three-pointers and 21-year-old OG Anunoby chipping in with an additional 16 off of the bench, his third double-figure game in succession, the longest run of his career. The bench was massive for the Raptors putting up 62 of the team’s points. Jonas Valanciunas added 19 points and 10 rebounds. The Raptors have one of the best depth in the league. Playing against the Pelicans will be an interesting matchup for Ibaka and Valanciunas going up against Davis. With a 12-1 start, Nurse became the first head coach since Lawrence Frank (13-0 with New Jersey in 2004) to win at least 12 of his first 13 NBA games.

How New Orleans Pelicans & Toronto Raptors Matchup.

Vegas Odds, Offshore Odds, & Odds ATS:

Raptors are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 when their opponent scores 100 points or more in their previous game.

Pelicans are 8-1 ATS in their last 9 games following a straight up win of more than 10 points.

Against The Spread Selection: Toronto Raptors

My reason for the pick :

The Raptors will remain undefeated at home as they will take down the Pelicans. The Raptors under Nick Nurse has been playing some tremendous basketball and it seems like everyone is on the same page at the right time. The depth of the Raptors will be the difference maker in this game as the Pelicans will still be missing Mirotic his ability to stretch the floor will be missed. For the Pelicans, it will be hard for them to win against a team like the Raptors if they rely on Davis to be their only scorer while the Raptors have multiple players who are capable of having double digits scoring games. Go with Raptors to win at home.

Betting trends for New Orleans Pelicans:

  • Pelicans are 20-6 ATS in their last 26 games following a ATS win.

Betting trends for Toronto Raptors :

  • Raptors are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games following a straight up win.
