Pick, Prediction, & Preview:
Golden State Warriors vs Houston Rockets
The Rockets will welcome the Golden State Warriors to Toyota Center as they are coming off an impressive win over the Nuggets while the Warriors were able to bounce back against the Hawks. Game tips off at 8:00 PM ET.
Golden State Warriors 's Latest Performance :
The Warriors were able to bounce back against the Hawks, leading the way for the Warriors was Kevin Durant as he scored 29 points and six rebounds. Green will be back against the Rockets on Thursday so everyone will be keeping an eye on how these two players get along. Quinn Cook bounced back after a rough night on Monday, hitting 8-of-18 shots and two 3-pointers for 18 points, four rebounds and six assists in 34 minutes. Jonas Jerebko got the start for Draymond Green as he went off with 14 points and 13 rebounds both season highs to go along with four three-pointers on the night. It will be very interesting as the Rockets are starting to play well after struggling to start the season. The Warriors are unbeatable on paper but it is the conflict between Draymond and Durant who has captured the league attention so they are hoping to keep their personal problems aside and focus on the game against the Rockets.
Houston Rockets's Latest Performance :
The Rockets are coming off a statement game as they took down the Denver Nuggets. Leading the way for the Rockets was Clint Capela as he scored 24 points and grabbed nine rebounds while shooting 11-for-15 from the floor. Capela did very well against Nikola Jokic and the knee didn’t appear to be bothering him. They also got a big night from Chris Paul, who finished with 21 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists to go along with 7-12 shooting from the field. He helped carry the Rockets in the first half when Harden wasn’t scoring, and he appears he could finally be rolling into shape. James Harden chipped in with 22 points, five rebounds, 11 assists, three steals, a block, and two 3-pointers, hitting 7-of-16 shots. The Rockets will be ready for the challenge against the Warriors as the Rockets are looking to win three straight. They are starting to play well as they should be ready for the challenge.
How Golden State Warriors & Houston Rockets Matchup.
Vegas Odds, Offshore Odds, & Odds ATS:
Rockets are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 when their opponent scores 100 points or more in their previous game.
Warriors are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of less than .400.
Against The Spread Selection: Houston Rockets
My reason for the pick :
The Rockets will win their third game in a row as they will take down the Golden State Warriors. Both Harden and Paul will have something to prove after what happened last season in game 7 now with Paul not injured they will look to attack the Warriors from the very beginning. It will be a statement game for the Rockets after the poor start. For the Warriors, the chemistry between Green and Durant isn’t going to get better so there is clearly tension in the locker room. Pick the Rockets to win at home in this game.
