Pick, Prediction, & Preview:

Los Angeles Lakers vs Cleveland Cavaliers

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers will make a visit to Cleveland, Ohio, to  Quicken Loans Arena to face the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night at 8 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. And while the Cleveland Cavaliers continue to struggle on the year, the Los Angeles Lakers have been completely the opposite in winning five of their last six games, overall, with their last win being a 113 – 97 road win over James’ his former team in the Miami Heat on Sunday night as James scored 51 points on the night while nailing six of eight 3-pointers in the win.

On the other hand, the Cavaliers suffered their second straight loss as they went down at Detroit by a 113 – 102 score as  Detroit pounded them on the boards by a margin of 50 – 32 for the game while getting 23 points and 16 rebounds from Andre Drummond while Reggie Jackson scored 21 points In the win. The Lakers have covered the spread in the last four matchups with the Cavaliers while the over has been the result in the last 5 meetings at Quicken Loans Arena.

Los Angeles Lakers's Latest Performance :

Aside from game one of their three-game road trip to where the Orlando Magic hung 130 points on the Lakers  in a 130 – 117 road loss on November 17th, the Lakers have come out with intensity since as they rebounded perfectly over a Miami Heat team in their last outing to where James was certainly the man of the hour period as along with his 51 points, James had eight rebounds along with three assist while allowing the Lakers to take a 15-point lead into the half and cruising to victory soon after.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope had 19 points for the Lakers in the win while Kyle Kuzma chipped in 15 points on the night for a Lakers team that has been playing  exceptionable basketball lately. And while their defense has struggled a bit all season, the Lakers allowed the Heat to shoot barely 40% from the floor on Sunday while outrebounding them 40-28 for the game. In all, the Lakers will certainly be looking to continue their momentum before flying back to Los Angeles to take on the Utah Jazz as well as have a rematch with the Orlando Magic at Staples Center on November 25th.

Cleveland Cavaliers's Latest Performance :

A horrible season for the Cleveland Cavaliers seems to get worse as they are allowing opponents to shoot close to 49% from the field on a nightly basis while their offense is ranked 27th in the league in points scored with 103 per game. Of course, this is certainly a problem for an offense that has not seemed to get it together at all this year despite shooting a decent 44% from the field. Nonetheless, the Cleveland Cavaliers look to have a great showing  against the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday night as they hope to spoil LeBron James’ is returned to Cleveland.

And for team that has struggled on a defensive end this year also, they will certainly need to bring  there A game on defense as the Los Angeles Lakers are ranked in the top 10 in points scored per outing along with field goal percentage per game. With that being this case, they will also need to reinforce this defensive effort with a conscious ability to consistently perform well on the offensive end, something that they have not done all season.

How Los Angeles Lakers & Cleveland Cavaliers Matchup.

Vegas Odds, Offshore Odds, & Odds ATS:

Los Angeles is 6-10 ATS while the OU is 7 – 8

Cleveland is 7-8 ATS while the OU is 6-9

In-Depth Analysis of each team:

With this game being billed the return of LeBron James to Quicken Loans Arena, a site where he won the franchises only NBA championship, look for the hype of be higher than ever. Aside from this fact, there is no reason as to why one would think that the Cavs will keep this game interesting as the Lakers should cruise in this contest.  The Cavaliers have proven that they are too inconsistent as well as too injured to really put up a fight  against a surging Lakers squad. And while one can certainly look for the Cavaliers to bring something extra for this game in competing versus James, look for them to fall behind late in the game while the Lakers may indeed pull away late in the game.

Against The Spread Selection: Pick:   Los Angeles Lakers

My reason for the pick :

I will back the Lakers in this matchup as LeBron James and Company is playing better and better with every outing that passes.  After losing to the Magic, they were able to rebound nicely be beating up on the Miami Heat in their next  outing. They come into this game with confidence as well as momentum to finish their three-game road trip on a strong note. I happen to feel as though they will certainly be solid on offense on this night as Cleveland continues to struggle on the defensive side of the court. With that being the case, look for the Lakers to cruise in Cleveland on Wednesday night while winning there second straight.

Totals Selection: Pick: Under

My reason for the prediction :

I will pick the under in this game as it has been the play in the majority of games lately for both teams. Also, look for the Cavaliers to struggle once again on their home court as the Lakers will certainly capitalize off of defensive mishaps in which to take a comfortable lead. In all, the under sounds like the strongest play in this instance.
