Pick, Prediction, & Preview:

Portland Trailblazers vs Milwaukee Bucks

The Portland Trail Blazers will have played their fourth game of a six-game road trip on Wednesday night as they travel to Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to battle the Milwaukee Bucks in what should be a great game  beginning at 8 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. The Portland Trail Blazers halted a two-game losing streak by picking up a 119 – 109 road win over the Washington Wizards in their last outing as Damian Lillard caught fire in scoring 40 points for the night. The Trail Blazers went up by 7 after the first quarter while outscoring the Wizards 30 – 16 in the second quarter en route to the victory.

The Milwaukee Bucks have won two straight games as they are coming off a huge 104-98 road win over the Denver Nuggets on Sunday as Giannis Antetokounmpo along with Eric Bledsoe scored 28 and 23 points, respectively, in leading the Bucks to victory. In all, both teams will certainly come into this game with loads of confidence.

Portland Trailblazers's Latest Performance :

Portland had lost two straight coming into their matchup with the Washington Wizards on Sunday afternoon, however, they left Capital One Arena with a huge victory due to their superstar Damian Lillard once again taking the leadership role and putting the team on his back. Lillard shot 12-29 for the night as he finished with 40 points total for the game while also pulling down six rebounds in addition to five assists in the contest. CJ McCollum shot  9-16 for the night along with hitting three of four 3-point attempts in the victory. The win versus the Wizards was special for the Trailblazers in that they had not played very well at all in the first two games of their current road trip. Nonetheless, the Wizards provided an opportunity for Portland to regain its Swagger, so to speak, in which to move forward.

It would be important to note that coach Scott Brooks along with Kelly Oubre both received technical fouls in the game while Dwight Howard, who had been battling gluteal injuries all season, reaggravated the injury in his last outing and was ruled out by halftime, finishing with only two points on the night.

Milwaukee Bucks 's Latest Performance :

While the Milwaukee Bucks have had a decent season thus far, they have had times where they have struggled.  With that being said, they have always found ways in which to bounce back as this has certainly been the case recently as the have atoned for losing two of three games at one point to rebounding perfectly to win their last two games in their current six-game homestand. The Bucks shot 46% from the field versus the Denver Nuggets while nailling 11 3- pointers in the contest led by Eric Bledsoe, who was 3-4 on the night from long range. As stated, Antetokounmpo scored 29 points along with pulling down 12 rebounds with six assists in the victory as they have certainly seemed to have weathered the storm after a rough patch of play.

On the other hand, the defense for Milwaukee allowed only 42% shooting on the night to the Denver Nuggets as Gary Harris had 14 points to lead the Nuggets on only 6-16 shooting from the floor. Nikola jokic led the team with 20 points along with five rebounds and five assists.   Their defense will certainly be ready to face a Portland Squad that bounced out of a mini funk in winners fashion versus the Wizards in their last time out.

How Portland Trailblazers & Milwaukee Bucks Matchup.

Vegas Odds, Offshore Odds, & Odds ATS:

Portland is 11-5 ATS while the OU is 8 – 8

Milwaukee is 1-4-1 ATS while the OU is12 – 4

In-Depth Analysis of each team:

This will certainly  be an interesting matchup in that Portland will certainly like to keep their positive play going versus a Milwaukee team that has not only excelled in the offensive end lately, but also on the defensive end as well. Milwaukee has indeed played well at home also, particularly in their last 5 home games as they went 4-1 during this time. As we know, Portland recently halted a three game road losing streak in their win over the Wizards in their last outing. In all, expect this to be a dogfight throughout as both the Bucks and the  Trail Blazers will certainly want to pick up a victory.

Against The Spread Selection: Pick:  Milwaukee Bucks

My reason for the pick :

As stated, this will be and up and down game throughout as both teams will certainly want to pick up a victory in which to add momentum to there current streaks. In all, both teams and played very well this season, however, the Blazers will be on the second game of a back-to-back when they face Milwaukee on Wednesday night. It is for this reason that I will back the Milwaukee Bucks in which to grind out a hard-fought victory over what would be a Blazers team that will likely be a bit tired as the game progresses.

Totals Selection: Pick: Over

My reason for the prediction :

I will pick the over in this matchup as I believe that Portland will attempt to come out gunning on offense as they will not be sure as to how much they will have in the tank for later quarters. Expect Lillard and McCollum to be the tip of the spear in Portland’s offensive attack, however, the Bucks would certainly utilize their weapons as well in which to keep the game within reach. With that being the case, look for the total to certainly surpass its limit as both teams will certainly find the range on offense in this matchup.
