Pick, Prediction, & Preview:
Milwaukee Bucks vs Charlotte Hornets
The Milwaukee Bucks will travel to Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, to take on the Charlotte Hornets on Monday night at 7 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. The Milwaukee Bucks atoned for a two-point loss to the Phoenix Suns in their prior outing by edging the San Antonio Spurs at home by a 135 – 129 score as Giannis Antetokounmpo led the way for the Milwaukee Bucks in the win with 34 points, 22 rebounds, along with assists as the Bucks shot 57% total for the game.
On the other hand, the Charlotte Hornets halted a 2 game winning streak as they were 109 – 104 road losers to the red hot Oklahoma City Thunder as Kemba Walker was 10-23 for the night while leading the team with 25 points as the Hornets had six double-digit scores for the game yet could not contain Russell Westbrook as he came two assists short of a triple-double while scoring 30 points for the night.
Milwaukee Bucks's Latest Performance :
As stated, the Milwaukee Bucks wiped the slate clean after a setback versus the Phoenix Suns while picking up a huge win over the San Antonio Spurs in the last time out. As stated, Antetokounmpo took the lead once again , from an offensive standpoint, in scoring 34 points for the night while grabbing 22 rebounds. There was certainly a balanced attack from Milwaukee in this matchup as Chris Middleton, Malcolm Brogdon, and Eric Bledsoe each had 20 points or more in the winning effort as the Bucks have won four of their last 5 games, overall. They now face a Charlotte team that is ranked first in the Southeast Division of the Eastern Conference and will certainly be on a high after winning two of their last 3 games.
Nonetheless, the Bucks continue to become more of a dangerous team as the season progresses as they are picking up huge contributions from Middleton and Bledsoe along with Malcolm Brogdon which makes them even more of a team to worry about, if one is in the Eastern Conference. In all, the Bucks will certainly look to flex their muscles once again as they are now averaging 122 points per game while only allowing opponents only 109 per outing.
Charlotte Hornets's Latest Performance :
The Charlotte Hornets rebounded from a rough two-game losing streak in which to win two games straight versus the Boston Celtics along with a solid Indiana Pacers squad both at home after losing in overtime to the Philadelphia 76ers on November 17th. Nonetheless, they were matched up with an outstanding Oklahoma City squad that is picked up load of confidence recently with the return of their Superstar Russell Westbrook as he had 12 rebounds along with eight assists for the night while pumping in 30 points. Also, Westbrook was 10 – 18 shooting from the field as the Oklahoma City Thunder shot 44% from the field along with nailing 11 3-pointers for the night.
Charlotte, on the other hand, went 46% while only converting on 6 of 31 attempts from 3-point range for the night as Walker would only go 2 – 10 from long range. Nonetheless the Hornets possessed six players in double figures led by Walker along with Jeremy Lamb, who would go 5-15 for the night, with 18 points while Cody Zeller and Marvin Williams each put in 10 points in the loss. It would be important to note that Walker also had eight assists in the defeat as well. The Hornets will now look to turn the page while also facing yet another red hot team in the Milwaukee Bucks that is chomping at the bit to separate themselves even more from the rest of the pack within the Eastern Conference.

In-Depth Analysis of each team:
This will certainly be an interesting matchup as you have two up and coming teams that are looking to continue their stellar play early in the season. On one hand, you have the Milwaukee Bucks, that have played stellar basketball all year long, going on the road to face a dangerous Charlotte Hornets Squad that will very well be looking for a win in which to atone for their last loss versus a motivated Oklahoma City squad on the road. Against The Spread Selection: Pick: Milwaukee Bucks
My reason for the pick :
And while the Charlotte Hornets have played well early on in the season, I will look for the Milwaukee Bucks to have a solid night on both ends of the court in this matchup as they will get the slim yet much-needed victory on Monday night versus the Charlotte Hornets. Kemba Walker has been dangerous for the Hornets this year, however, the Milwaukee Bucks have not allowed the stars for opposing teams do much damage throughout the year. With that being the case, look for Bucks to really get after Walker on the defensive end throughout the game while allowing the role players for Charlotte to pick up the offensive production. This will certainly play into the hands of the road team as they will eventually grind out a huge win by making pivotal baskets at critical times within the game en route to the victory.
Totals Selection: Pick: Under
My reason for the prediction :
And while I do not expect Kemba Walker to have a Breakout game versus the Bucks, I do expect some points to be scored in this matchup as both offenses are simply playing unstoppable at this point in the season. Nonetheless, the game will certainly slow down as the outing progresses as Milwaukee will want to take control of its overall talent and physicality in which to gain an advantage over the Charlotte Hornets in this matchup. Look for them to be very successful as this type of philosophy will utimately allow the game to remain under its set limit on Monday night.
