Chicago Bulls vs Houston Rockets
The Chicago Bulls march into Houston, Texas to take on the Rockets at the Toyota Center on Saturday night in an early season East meets West match-up. It’s a fact that James Harden will get his points but the Rockets have proven to be quite beatable this season. Playing below .500 and bringing up the rear in the West, the struggling Bulls have a legitimate shot at rolling into town and stealing one from what was previously presumed to be one of the leagues best teams. In the early stages of the season, it’s open season on the Rockets.
Chicago Bulls's Latest Performance :
The Chicago Bulls are having more issues than they care to admit. Coach Fred Hoiberg has his hands full. His star player isn’t listening to him and he’s dealing with a number of key injuries. The result? A 5-15 start which is the fourth worst record in the NBA. Losing three in a row and going 2-8 in their last ten isn’t what they had planned before the beginning of the season. If Jabari Parker can continue to improve on his 20 points per game and Markannen returns to the line-up, they will have a decent shot at turning things around with 61 games left in the season.
Houston Rockets's Latest Performance :
The Houston Rockets went from pre-season favorite to below average fairly quickly this season. Harden leads scorers with almost 32 points a game, but that alone doesn’t win games. They started the season 1-5 then turned things around reeling off eight in a row followed by a three-game losing streak. Granted Chris Paul was on the bench for two of those games. However, the lack of depth is eating this team alive. The starters are averaging 33.3 minutes per game and don’t have the talent to back them when they aren’t on the floor. Hence, the reason they are closely watching the Cleveland Cavaliers who are looking to dish their veterans.

In-Depth Analysis of each team:
This early season match-up should be billed as a premiere NBA game, but neither team possesses the cache to come anywhere close. With the loss of Carmelo Anthony, the Rockets are looking to make a couple of acquisitions to help with bench depth while the Bulls are looking to just get healthy. James Harden is one of the best players in the league and that talent should be on display against the struggling Bulls. It should be competitive match-up unless the Rockets show glimpses of last year’s team. It could be a long night for Chicago.
