Pick, Prediction, & Preview:

Denver Nuggets vs Orlando Magic

The Denver Nuggets will travel to Amway Arena in Orlando, Florida, to battle the Orlando Magic on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. The Denver Nuggets went 2-3 on their current six-game road trip as they picked up a 99-85 win on the road versus the Phoenix Suns in their last outing as as Nikola Vucevic was the man once again for the Magic has he scored 25 points along with pulling down 15 boards in the win for Orlando, thus allowing them to halt a two-game losing skid.

The Denver Nuggets continued to pick up victories as they won their sixth straight game in taking out the Toronto Raptors on the road by a 106 – 103 score. Nikola Jokic, who was the star for the Denver Nuggets, led the team with 23 points while also having 11 rebounds in addition to 15 assists on the night. The Nuggets are 4-1 against the spread in the last 5 meetings in Orlando  while the over has been the play in four of the last 5 meetings at Amway Arena.

Denver Nuggets's Latest Performance :

The Denver Nuggets have played stellar on defense all year long. And while their offense can be a bit inconsistent, at times, they have also step things up a bit recently as well, particuarly as it relates to converting critical offensive opportunities into scores late in games in which to pick up victories. They certainly received some big shots down the stretch from Jokic their last match of versus  the Toronto Raptors as he sealed the victory from the foul line for the Nuggets en route to a huge road victory in their last time out.

Jamal Murray also kicked in 21 points along with seven rebounds and eight assists in the victory for Denver as they shot 45% from the floor while making 11 3-pointers, total, in the contest. Kawhi Leonard went 10-19 from the floor on the night while leading the Raptors with 27 points, however, had very little help as Serge Ibaka was the second leading scorer with 15 points on the night. Kyle Lowry only went 1-7 on the night while finishing with five points along with 11 assists.

In all, Denver continued to play stellar on the defensive end in their last outing and will certainly look to continue this versus a struggling Orlando team that, despite the play of Vucevic, continues to drop games in losing two of their last 3 games, overall.

Orlando Magic's Latest Performance :

While the Orlando Magic have been up and down lately in winning only two of their last six games, overall, one thing has been consistent and that is the play of Nikola Vucevic.  Vucevic leads the team in scoring with 21 points per game while he has scored at least 20 points in seven of Orlando’s last nine outings. Furthermore, he has had a double-double in six of the Magic’s last eight games, overall.   Vucevic recorded yet another Double-Double in his last outing as he finished the game with 25 points along with 15 rebounds as he led the Magic in scoring in their win versus the Suns.

Aaron Gordon shot much better from the field in this contest as he went 8-12 from the floor while ending with 18 points while DJ Augustin finished the game with 16 points along with six assists for Orlando. At the defensive end, Orlando allowed the Phoenix Suns to shoot only 40% for the night while allowing them to make 7 of 28 3-point attempts on a night where Devin Booker did not suit up yet Deandre Ayton along with Jamal Crawford led the team in scoring with 19 and 18 points, respectively.

In all, Orlando will look to take this confidence into what will be game 1 of a two-game home stand versus the Denver Nuggets. The Magic will need every bit of offensive output they can get versus a Denver defense that has held opponents 100 points or more in only two of their last five games, overall.

How Denver Nuggets & Orlando Magic Matchup.

Vegas Odds, Offshore Odds, & Odds ATS:

Denver is 14 – 9 ATS while the OU is  7 – 15

Orlando is 14 – 9 ATS while the OU is 9-14

In-Depth Analysis of each team:

This will be an interesting game for Denver in that they will be looking to continue an undefeated 5 game road trip thus far after a huge win over the Toronto Raptors. After their contest with the Magic, they will end their road trip with games versus the Charlotte Hornets while ending with the Atlanta Hawks. With that being the case, look for Denver to come out motivated to get a victory in this matchup while the Orlando Magic will be playing the second of a back-to-back versus the Nuggets on this night.

Against The Spread Selection: Pick: Denver Nuggets

My reason for the pick :

While Orlando will certainly feed from the momentum that they received with a huge victory over the Phoenix Suns on the road in their last outing, the Denver Nuggets will certainly show and prove in this match up on Wednesday night as the Magic will certainly be a bit fatigued late in the game due to playing the second of a back-to-back. It is for this reason that I will back the road team in this contest as they will pull away late in the game en route to an all important victory.

Totals Selection: Pick: Under

My reason for the prediction :

With the legs for the Magic likely being a bit tired due to a back-to-back along with the fact that they  will be up against a solid defense for the Denver Nuggets, expect the Magic to labor a bit on both ends in this matchup. Of course, the Denver offense has been off and on in 2018 and will score just enough in which to maintain a lead while also ensuring that the total is not surpassed in this contest between teams that will certainly be looking for a win.

Betting trends for Denver Nuggets:

  • Under is 4-0 in Nuggets last 4 Wednesday games.
Nuggets are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games overall.
Nuggets are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 road games.

Betting trends for Orlando Magic:

  • Magic are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall.
Under is 5-0 in Magic last 5 home games vs. a team with a winning road record.
Under is 4-0 in Magic last 4 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of greater than .600.
