Minnesota Timberwolves vs Portland Trailblazers

On Saturday night, the Moda Center will play host to the visiting Minnesota Timberwolves as they take on the Portland Trailblazers. The Trailblazers are coming off of a three-game losing streak and have dropped their last six of seven games. The Timberwolves have won their last two and have won six of their last seven.  The Blazers are half a game up on the Timberwolves in the Northwest and are meeting for the second time this season after the Timberwolves took the first game 112-96.

Minnesota Timberwolves's Latest Performance :

Minnesota Timberwolves have been very streaky this season and are looking to put it all together. It hasn’t been for a lack of scoring as they haven’t scored under 100 points in a single game this season. They beat the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday night 121-104. Karly Anthony-Towne threw down 35 points with 12 rebounds and former Jayhawk Andrew Wiggins added a season-high 26 points. The T-Wolves shot a solid 50% from three-point land and 53.9% from the field. The Hornets couldn’t keep up with that pace and dropped their third in a row.

Portland Trailblazers's Latest Performance :

The Portland Trailblazers currently sit four games back behind the first-place Denver Nuggets and have hit a rough patch after winning four in a row earlier this season. They lost their last game in Dallas against the Mavericks 111-102. Luka Doncic lead the way for the Mavs scoring 21 while Wesley Mathews added 17. Portland’s Damian Lillard continued his scoring assault on the NBA with 33 points after going 10/23 from the field. Crucial turnovers and some tough Mavs defense was the difference in this game.

These two teams are neck and neck in the Northwest and are fairly evenly matched. Both teams have big-time scorers with something to prove in this game. A little defense will go a long way in this match-up.
