Cleveland Cavaliers vs Houston Rockets

Cleveland Cavaliers's Latest Performance :
This was expected from the Cavs coming into the season everyone knew how bad they were going to be without LeBron on the team but no one expected that they would go on an eleven game losing streak. They are coming off yet another blowout loss against the Pelicans. Jordan Clarkson had one of his best stat lines of the season during a 140-124 loss to the Pelicans on Wednesday, scoring 21 points with four rebounds, two assists, three steals, three blocks, and two 3-pointers in 30 minutes. Frye made a start at power forward and ended the game with only 3 points. The only bright spot for the Cavs at the moment is Cameron Payne who is taking advantage of the opportunity in front of him. He was solid in his second game on a 10-day deal, scoring 16 points with two assists and three 3-pointers. Sexton had a rough shooting night as he finished the game shooting 2-of-12 from the field for 13 points he is only shooting 41% from the floor to start his young career. The Cavs were able to take down the Rockets in their last meeting and Sexton had a great game will be interesting to see how he matchup against the Rockets this time around.
Houston Rockets's Latest Performance :
Despite 42 points from their leader James Harden, they weren’t able to take down the Bucks. The third quarter really hurt them the most as they were outscored 38-23. Tucker, Capela, House are a combined 6-25 from the field. It was the Bucks defense coming out of half-time that did the job. This was a game that they really missed Chris Paul he is player that can create for himself and could have been the difference maker in this game. Rivers was shooting with an injured hand as he was 4-of-8 from the floor and finished the game with 13 points. Clint Capela double-doubled on Wednesday, scoring 18 points with 13 boards but it was tough shooting game for him tonight. However, it was the first time in his career that he has scored in double digits in three games in a row. James Harden’s streak of 30+ point games now sits at 14, which is the longest since Kobe Bryant did it in 16 straight in 2003. He has definitely redeemed himself in the MVP conversation.

Against The Spread Selection: Houston Rockets
My reason for the pick :
The Houston Rockets will learn from their previous mistakes and take down the Cavs at home. The Rockets have now figured out a winning formula despite their slow start to the season. James Harden will get the better of Sexton as he will lead the way in scoring extending his 30 points streak. For the Cavs, it will be a long season for them as they will lose twelve straight games.
