Pick, Prediction, & Preview:
Milwaukee Bucks vs Washington Wizards
The Washington Wizards will take on the Milwaukee Bucks at Capital One Arena on Friday night in an Eastern Conference showdown. The Bucks are the team to be in the East and have a large target on their backs. Especially, against teams struggling to stay in the playoff picture as the season wears on through the half-way mark. These two teams will meet three times in the coming weeks playing two out of the three games at Washington. The last time these two teams played was back in February of last season at the Bradley Center with the Wizards escaping with a 107-104 victory. The teams were evenly matched then but this is now and the Wizards aren’t the same team they were in their last meeting.
Milwaukee Bucks's Latest Performance :
The Milwaukee Bucks are leading the East and winning a lot of games. They’ve won eight of their last ten. The last game was a big one against the Houston Rockets who they defeated 116-109 on the Rockets home floor. That was their second win in a row behind Giannis Antetokounmpo’s 27 points while hauling down a season-high 21 rebounds. Last year’s MVP couldn’t be stopped as James Harden managed to get his 42 points in the loss. It took some tough Bucks defense and some Harden misses down the stretch to secure the victory and win their 7th out of 8 games.
Washington Wizards's Latest Performance :
The Washington Wizards made the playoffs last year taking the 8th and final spot in the East before being bounced in six games by the Toronto Raptors. As it stands now, they aren’t playing as well as they were last year at this point in the season. They have managed to win three of their last five and split back-t0-back games with the Philidelphia 76ers. The They won the last game at home where they are 12-7 by a score of 123-106. Washington’s leading scorer, Bradley Beal, lit up Philly with 34 points and Otto Porter Jr. added 23 points after returning from a quadriceps injury to help the team win after the loss of John Wall for the season.

Bucks are 23-15-2 ATS overall
Bucks are 15-7-1 ATS at home and 8-8-1 ATS away
In-Depth Analysis of each team:
Last season’s match-up shouldn’t have any effect on this season’s game. The Bucks are on a different path as the East’s leading team coming into this three-game series. The Washington defense is allowing almost 117 points per game while the Bucks offense is matching that point total. That’s doesn’t bode well for a streaky team who lost their star player for the season. That doesn’t mean they don’t have scorers on offense. However, if they can’t stop Milwaukee’s offensive assault at home, it’s going to be a long series for the Wizards.
