Los Angeles Lakers vs Oklahoma City Thunder
The Los Angeles Lakers travel to Oklahoma City to take on the Thunder Thursday night at the Chesapeake Energy Center. The Thunder are currently sitting in the third spot in the West while the Lakers are hanging at number eight. The last time these two teams matched up was at the Staples Center where Paul George was booed and will continue to be booed until he either agrees to join the storied franchise or the Lakers win a championship without him. The Thunder stole the win in that game 107-100 and George scorched the Lakers for 37 points.
Los Angeles Lakers's Latest Performance :
The Lakers have been dismal without Lebron James. They’ve only managed to win three of their last ten games. The Lakers have dropped their last two one of which epitomizes their decent in the West. The Cleveland Cavaliers marched into the Staples Center and walked out with a stunning 101-95 victory ending a 12-game losing streak. Cedi Osman scored 20 points and Collin Sexton added 17 for the Cavs on Sunday night. Los Angeles went 7 for 34 from beyond the arc and 16 for 27 from the stripe. Kyle Kuzma was the only bright spot for the Lakers scoring 29 points with 9 rebounds before it was all said and done.
Oklahoma City Thunder's Latest Performance :
The Oklahoma City Thunder have a scoring duo in Paul George and Russell Westbrook that can compete with just about any team in the NBA. However, they just snapped a three-game losing streak after dropping game one of a double-header to the San Antonio Spurs 154-147. In Game two, Westbrook led the way scoring 24 points with 10 rebounds and 7 assists while George added 18 points with 11 rebounds in the win. The Spurs led 60-51 at the half but couldn’t finish the series with another win.

In-Depth Analysis of each team:
With a healthy Lebron James and Rajon Rondo, the Lakers are a totally different team and would match-up well with the Thunder. James is the teams leading scorer and fearless leader while Rondo adds some defense and three-point shooting ability. The Lakers are a young team without them and while teammates like Kyle Kuzma are putting up numbers, the supporting cast isn’t there on a consistent basis. James has been running and working out minimally on the court. With any luck, he’ll be on the court before the end of the month.
