Pick, Prediction, & Preview:
Atlanta Hawks vs Chicago Bulls
The Chicago Bulls host the Atlanta Hawks at the United Center on Wednesday night in an Eastern Conference match-up. Neither of these teams is lighting the conference on fire as they are both occupying the lower quarter of the standings. The Bulls in fact, have dropped ten out of their last ten games. Clearly, they are in need of a win at home against an Atlanta team they defeated in their feast season meeting 97-85. The Hawks haven’t fared much better going 3-7 in their last ten but are only on a one-game losing streak rather than a ten game losing streak.
Atlanta Hawks's Latest Performance :
The Atlanta Hawks are another team struggling in the East. With a lack of major brand talent, this young team has their backs against the wall each night they take the court. Their 8-12 home record certainly hasn’t helped them as they fell victim to the Boston Celtics on Saturday night 113-105. Kyrie Irving lead the way for the Celtics scoring 32 points in the win on the road. Rookie’s Kevin Huerter and Trae Young combined for 34 points on the night and the Hawks lead late in the fourth quarter before a Jaylen Brown 3-pointer gave Boston the lead and eventually the win.
Chicago Bulls's Latest Performance :
The Chicago Bulls need to snap their losing streak and get some positive energy flowing through their locker room again. They say losing is contagious and that seems to be ringing true for a proud Chicago team who were once kings of the court back in the day. But that legend is long retired and these young Bulls need help. Only one of their last ten games was close, an overtime loss to the Pacers, with the latest defeat coming at the hands of the Miami Heat 117-103. It was Dwyane Wade’s final home game and he helped boost the Heat by scoring 14 points and adding 10 rebounds with 7 assists. Josh Richardson was the high man for the Heat scoring 26 points.

In-Depth Analysis of each team:
This is a classic match-up of two struggling teams who have just about hit rock bottom. As long as they don’t fall behind the Cavs, I guess they haven’t quite reached the bottom just yet. The Hawks are generating a bit more offense averaging 110 points per game but are allowing 117 points per game on the defensive end. That’s not going to win you a lot of games. The Bulls aren’t much better only scoring 101 points per game and giving up 111 points per game. It would be safe to say that if either team plays some defense, they just may win another game.
