Portland Trail Blazers vs Oklahoma City Thunder
The Oklahoma City Thunder welcome the Portland Trailblazers to the Chesapeake Energy Center on Tuesday night. The Thunder are coming in on a one-game win streak but have gone 5-5 in their last ten. Portland is bringing a 7-3 record in their last ten and are winners of two in a row. These two teams met in early January at the Moda Center where the Trail Blazers were looking to make it seven in a row over the Thunder before Paul George went for 37 points leading to a 111-109 victory.
Portland Trail Blazers's Latest Performance :
The Portland Trail Blazers are 4.5 games back and are even with the Thunder in the West. Their last game against the New Orleans Pelicans improved their home record to 20-7 after a 128-112 victory behind Damian Lillard’s 22 points and 8 assists. Anthony Davis was the high man for the Pelicans scoring 27 points and hauling in 7 rebounds. Coach Gentry has been unhappy with the Blazer defense even when they win. They are allowing too many points but managed to hold the Pelicans in check and coasted to an easy when midway through the fourth quarter.
Oklahoma City Thunder's Latest Performance :
The Oklahoma City Thunder have some serious talent on their team but haven’t quite hit their stride yet. They recently lost two in a row to the Atlanta Hawks and Los Angeles Lakers before defeating the Philadelphia 76ers in dramatic fashion 117-115. It was supposed to be the Westbrook and Embiid show but Paul George ended up stealing the spotlight with a catch and shoot 3-pointer from out of bounds to take his point total to 31 and win the game. Butler had a chance as he drove the ball into traffic and fired up a desperate 3-pointer that didn’t find the bottom of the net.
