Golden State Warriors vs Boston Celtics
Two teams that are on extended winning streaks within the Association at this point in time will meet on Saturday night at 8:30 p.m. eastern time as the Golden State Warriors will travel to TD Bank Arena in Boston, Massachusetts, in which to face the Boston Celtics. Boston has won five straight games as they picked up a victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers in their last matchup as Terry Rozier scored 22 of his 26 points in the first half while Jaylen Brown, Gordon Hayward, along with Jayson Tatum, scored 22, 18, along with 16 points for the Celtics in the victory as Kyrie Irving was sidelined with an illness. The Celtics shot over 50% from the floor of the night while also connecting on 46% of their 3-pointers while Cleveland was held to just 43% shooting while also committing 20 turnovers in the loss.
On the other hand, the Golden State Warriors have won eight straight games as they picked up a victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on the road as Klay Thompson was able to hit his first 10 three-pointers of the night while ending with 44 points to lead the Warriors in scoring on a night where they posted 130 points on a reeling Lakers squad.
Golden State Warriors's Latest Performance :
In Golden State’s last matchup with the Los Angeles Lakers, the team shot 50% from the floor, however, the Lakers were only able to convert on five 3-pointers on the night while the Golden State Warriors were red-hot from the perimeter and converting on 16 3-pointers as they were led by Thompson with 44 points, as stated, as he put in a monster game for the Golden State Warriors. On the other hand, Kevin Durant also poured in 20 points while Steph Curry went only 3-12 from the floor in ending with 11 points in the victory.
On the other hand, Kyle Kuzma along with Brandon Ingram chipped in 16 and 17 points, respectively for a Los Angeles team that continues to hate life without LeBron James in the lineup due to a groin injury. Nonetheless, the Warriors continue to sit atop the Pacific Division of the Western conference, comfortably ahead of the Los Angeles Clippers, the second-place team. It would be important to note that this game versus the Boston Celtics will be game two of a three-game road trip for the Warriors as they are undefeated in their last six road outings, overall.
Boston Celtics's Latest Performance :
Thanks to a 38-20 run in the second quarter which allowed the Celtics to atone for a three-point deficit at the end of the first quarter, Boston gained huge amounts of momentum throughout the contest in which to pull out a victory versus the Cleveland Cavaliers in their last time out. As stated, the Celtics used a balanced attack in this contest as Rozier was the tip of the spear in posting 26 points on the night for the Celtics as they allowed Cleveland to shoot just 43% from the floor, as stated, as Cedi Osman led the team with 25 points along with eight rebounds in defeat.
Also, as stated, Kyrie Irving along with Al Horford sat out this contest as they are each probable to play versus the Golden State Warriors on Saturday night. ‘We have a great test Saturday and we’ll learn more about us,” Boston coach Brad Stevens said. ”We’re not where we want to be at this point.”
With that being said, Boston has been victorious recently due to their ability to play solid on both ends of the floor. And while their offense has certainly not been overly spectacular recently, they have also been able to hit critical buckets at pivotal moments within games while relying on their defense in which to limit scoring opportunities for their opponents. With that being the case, they will certainly need to bring the focus and intensity for this matchup versus a Golden State Warriors squad that has been on a tear lately, particularly on the offensive end, in averaging 126 points during their current eight-game winning streak.

Against The Spread Selection: Pick: Golden State Warriors
My reason for the pick :
While much can be said for the Boston Celtics in how they have been able to resurrect their season from a very shaky start, I will look for the Golden State Warriors to show and prove in this matchup on Saturday night as they have been able to get huge contributions from each of their big three at pivotal points within games, recently. With that being said, look for one of these individuals to step up immensely in this contest in which to ensure that Golden State not only maintains control of this contest, but, to also pick up their 9th straight win in the end, as well.
Totals Selection: Pick: Over
My reason for the prediction :
I will back the over in this contest as the Golden State Warriors along with the Boston Celtics have certainly played better on the offensive end of the floor lately. And while each will be looking to assert themselves early and often on the defensive side of the floor in this contest on Saturday, look for both offenses to have stellar games in this contest as the over will indeed be the strong play in the end.
