Pick, Prediction, & Preview:
Arizona Wildcats vs Uconn Huskies
The Connecticut Huskies will take on the Arizona Wildcats at the XL Center on Sunday night. It’s a battle of the unranked as the Huskies look to get back into the top 25. The Huskies are only four years removed from their last National Championship and after winning their sixth game this season, they are knocking on the rankings door once again. They’ve won four of their last five games losing the one game to the #14 ranked Iowa Hawkeyes 91-72 in the 2K Empire Classic. Arizona is always a tough team no matter whether they’re ranked or not, so the Huskies will have their hands full.
Arizona Wildcats's Latest Performance :
Arizona Wildcats have dropped their last two after a 4-0 start. Albeit they lost to #1 Gonzaga and #8 Auburn. They are averaging 75 points per game behind sophomore guard and Arizona scoring leader Brandon Randolph. Coach Sean Miller has been weathering the storm of an FBI investigation while trying to keep his team on track until they get into conference play. Arizona State is the only unbeaten team in the Pac 12 and the rest of the field seems to be fairly evenly matched. It should be interesting down the road.
Uconn Huskies's Latest Performance :
The Uconn Huskies are playing well and have only lost one game this season. They’ve recently received votes for the top 25. If they continue winning, voters won’t have a choice but to include the four-time champs. Look for Uconn scoring leader, Jalen Adams to run the show. He’s averaging almost 18 points per game and 3.7 rebounds per game. The team is averaging 87 points per game and the defense has held it’s own by holding opponents to an average of 74 points per game.

In-Depth Analysis of each team:
The Huskies are playing well this season and shouldn’t have a problem with the Arizona Wildcats who are on the road at the always tough XL Center. Arizona lost to two top ten teams back-to-back which doesn’t mean they will limp into this match-up. They did start 4-0 and are capable of beating the Huskies at home. We all know anything can happen in college basketball. The real difference maker in this game is defense. If Arizona can play solid defense and limit Uconn’s offensive looks, then they have a chance.
