Pick, Prediction, & Preview:

UCF Knights vs Missouri Tigers

The UCF Knights travel to the Show-Me State to take on the Missouri Tigers in Columbia at Mizzou Arena on Sunday night. The Knights are an impressive 6-1 and vying for a spot in the top 25. The Tigers have had another major injury to start the season derail a promising career and shot at the big dance in March. Sophomore forward Jontay Porter tore his ACL and MCL sidelining him for the season in an exhibition game. The Knights are looking to mirror their football team who is currently #8 in the nation. The Tigers will have their hands full.

UCF Knights's Latest Performance :

If not for a last-second putback against Florida Atlantic, UCF would be undefeated at 7-0. What a turn of events that would be for an unknown basketball program. They did beat Alabama for the second straight year which the football program has yet to do. BJ Taylor has been doing it on offense for the Knights with 15.5 ppg coupled with team assist leader Terrell Allen with 5.2 APG. The team is averaging 75 ppg and is playing solid defense. This team just might be for real. Time will tell.

Missouri Tigers's Latest Performance :

The Missouri Tigers at this point are just playing to get better. Once thought to be an SEC threat, have been decimated yet again taking the air out of their sails and leaving the team looking for other options. The Tigers have lost their last two including a game against an unranked Temple team who they should have beat but lost by two. Mark Smith’s 19 points weren’t enough to get the win.

In-Depth Analysis of each team:

The UFC Knights are having one of their better seasons and the Mizzou Tigers just aren’t. The Tigers are averaging just under 66 points per game while the Knights are averaging just under 75 points per game. This is a prime opportunity for Mizzou to snap their 2-game losing streak and hand the Knights their second loss of the season on the road in Columbia. In order to achieve that, the Tigers will have to contain UCF’s leading scorer, B.J. Taylor.
