Charlotte 49ers's Latest Performance :

The defense for Charlotte is only allowing 65 points per game to their opponents while also allowing them to shoot an average of 44%. In fact, in there last five games, the 49ers have allowed opponents to score 70 or more points in only two of those contests. Their last meeting with the Charleston Cougars was one of those games as Charleston outpaced the 49ers throughout the duration of the game, despite making only six 3-pointers on the night, due to their ability to get to the free-throw line and make over 85% of their attempts.

In all, the defense has been the strength of this 49ers team in 2018 and will certainly be looking to exert themselves early and often versus a Wake Forest team that will be motivated to pull out a victory after a rough patch of play, lately.

Wake Forest Demon Deacons's Latest Performance :

In-Depth Analysis of each team:

As stated, this will be a very interesting game in that both teams come into this matchup playing horribly on both ends of the court.  On one hand, you have a Wake Forest team that simply cannot keep teams from scoring at critical moments in games. On the other hand, you have a team in the Charlotte 49ers that continues to struggle on the offensive end while their defense remains one of the best in the nation. In all, this will certainly be a slower paced yet competitive matchup amongst two teams desperate to pull out a much-needed victory.

Against The Spread Selection: Pickk:   Wake Forest Demon Deacons

My reason for the pick :

Look for Charlotte to have a solid night on the defensive end in this match up on Thursday; However, look for the home team to pull off some big shots down the stretch in which to maintain a small lead while pulling out a slim victory over a solid, defensive-minded squad in Charlotte. As stated, both teams will certainly be looking to get a win in this matchup, however Wake Forest does have a bit of momentum, nonetheless, after winning their last home game versus Western Carolina and will certainly look to build from that momentum en route to a victory.

Totals Selection: Pick: Under

My reason for the prediction :

I will back the under in this contest as Wake Forest will certainly be looking to have a much better performance, all around,  than the one they exhibited in their last couple games. On the other hand, Charlotte will certainly have to bring their defensive A game as their offense continues to struggle in 2018 as they will certainly need to have a near-flawless game in which to pull out a victory in this contest. With that being said, the total will certainly stay well below is set limit, nonetheless.
