Georgetown Hoyas's Latest Performance :

The Georgetown Hoyas come into this game winners of three straight games along with seven of their last nine outings, overall, as they find themselves sitting currently in the fourth place slot with in the Big East conference. They will certainly be looking for a winning this matchup in which to not only create separation from themselves from with Butler, seated two spots behind the Hoyas, while also putting pressure on Marquette, Xavier, along with Seton Hall, who all occupy the first three slots within the conference.

With that being said, Georgetown certainly accomplish their goal in their last outing versus the Howard Bison as they out did themselves from having a 41-point first half output to posting 62 points in the second half en route to a night where they shot 52% from the field as Govan and LeBlanc, as stated, led the team with 23 and 22 points. Look for them to carry this momentum into this matchup versus the Butler Bulldogs as their offense is simply on fire at this point as they have scored 80 or more points in six of their last eight games, overall.

Butler Bulldogs 's Latest Performance :

The Butler Bulldogs are only averaging 72 points per game on 45% shooting from the floor on a nightly basis in 2018. However, in the last outing versus the Florida Gators, they sunk to a new low in posting only 43 points for the game while shooting just 30% from the floor along with 20% from three-point range as leading scorer, Kamar Baldwin, went 3-12 on the floor on the night while ending with 9 points as Butler possessed no double-digit scores for the game.

In-Depth Analysis of each team:

This game will certainly be an interesting one in that you have two Big East foes looking to pick up a much-needed victory in which to continue the momentum gained thus far in the season. On one hand, the Georgetown Hoyas will certainly be looking to push the pace early and often in this matchup in which to kick-start their high scoring offense versus a defense for Butler that has been solid throughout the season. On the other hand, Butler will certainly be looking to bolster its offensive attack after shooting dismally versus the Florida Gators in their last outing.

Against The Spread Selection: Pick:   Butler Bulldogs

My reason for the pick :

I will back  the Bulldogs in this matchup as I happen to believe that they will put in a much better performance than they illustrated in their last outing versus a Florida team on the road. In fact, look for their defense to certainly step up versus a Georgetown offense that has simply been lighting it up in going over the century mark in their last two outings, as stated. On the other hand, look for Butler to take advantage of a Georgetown defense that has not progressed to the level of their offense at this point in the season as they have a tendency to give up points in bunches.

Totals Selection: Pick: Over

My reason for the prediction :

Look for the over to be the playing this matchup as I certainly see Georgetown allowing Butler to put some points on the board throughout this contest. On the other hand, look for Georgetown to also benefit from defensive mishaps from a Butler Bulldogs team that may indeed be a bit Punch-Drunk from a dominating lost to the Gators in their last time out. Nonetheless, expect the total to go over its set limit in this contest amongst these two teams as I certainly expect a back-and-forth affair throughout.

Betting trends for Georgetown Hoyas:

  • The Hoyas are 3 – 7 ATS  in last 10 games

  • The over is 3-1 in Hoyas last four games

Betting trends for Butler Bulldogs :

  • The Bulldogs are 1-3 ATS  in last 4 games

  • The Under is 4-0 in Bulldogs last four games
