Pick, Prediction, & Preview:

Texas A&M Aggies vs Kentucky Wildcats

The Texas A&M Aggies will travel to Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky to  battle the 14th ranked Kentucky Wildcats on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. Eastern Standard Time  in exciting SEC basketball action. Kentucky had won three straight games before their last outing on the road versus the Alabama Crimson Tide as they would end up taking a huge step back as they suffered a slim defeat due to their inability to remain consistent on the defensive end of the floor as they allowed  46% shooting to the home team while also allowing them to connect 10 3 pointers for the night as they possess five double-digit scorers led by Kevin Mack with 22 for the game, as he went 6-8 from three-point range in the much-needed victory for Alabama.

Texas A&M Aggies's Latest Performance :

After losing three straight games recently, the Texas A&M Aggies rebounded from a rough patch a play in which to win their next five  games to where they were not only dominant, but, found themselves increasing their positioning within the SEC Conference. Nonetheless, they have since lost two straight games, as stated, to where their offense has certainly been dismal while the defense has allowed a few more points than usual, as well. In all, they certainly put in a much better defensive effort versus the Arkansas Razorbacks in their last outing as the road team was only able to shoot 37% from the floor, yet, were able to convert on 10 three pointers, which proved to be a key stat in the win.

On the other hand, Texas A&M shot just 41% from the floor as DJ Stark along with Savion Flagg  led the team with 23 and 20 points, respectively, as they served as the only two double-digit scores for the Aggies in the contest. Texas A&M will certainly want to bring their A-game on the offensive end in this contest as they will be facing a Kentucky team that will certainly be beside itself after experiencing a huge setback versus the Alabama Crimson Tide in their last outing. In all, look for Texas A&M to rely on its defense, which is allowing opponents to shoot 38% from the floor on a nightly basis in 2018, in which to neutralize a squad for Kentucky that shoots 48% from the floor while posting 78 points per game this year.

Kentucky Wildcats's Latest Performance :

As stated, the Wildcats were not able to gain any type of consistency on the defensive end vs. the Alabama Crimson Tide in their last time out as the home team came up with big bucket after big bucket throughout the duration of the game en  route to a resume building victory in their last time out. As stated, the Crimson Tide possessed five double-digit scorers led by Mack with 22 points while Dante Hall also chipped in 11 points along with pulling down 10 rebounds in the win.

On the other hand, Kentucky shot just 43% from the floor while connecting on just five 3-pointers as they were led by PJ Washington with 15 points as he only went 4-10 from the field on the night while pulling down seven rebounds. Keldon Johnson also chipped in 13 points along with pulling down seven rebounds for Kentucky in the loss as well as the road team was not only outrebounded by a 39 – 30 margin for the game, but, were also not able to capitalize off 16 turnovers for Alabama throughout the contest.

Nonetheless, Kentucky will look to get back on the right track, once again, as they battle a Texas A&M team that currently finds themselves in the cellar of the SEC Conference due to losing their last two outings, overall, to where they have allowed opponents 80 points per game average during this time.

How Texas A&M Aggies & Kentucky Wildcats Matchup.

Vegas Odds, Offshore Odds, & Odds ATS:

Texas A&M is 4 – 8 against the spread while the OU is  4-8

Kentucky is 6 – 7 against the spread while the OU is  6 – 7

In-Depth Analysis of each team:

This will be an interesting matchup as Texas A&M will be looking to right themselves by rolling into Rupp Arena and getting a victory over a Kentucky team that is highly ranked, yet, continues to play a bit inconsistent at pivotal times versus is top-notch squads. In all, look for both teams to push the pace in this contest as both defenses that will be taking the floor are highly-ranked  and have performed outstandingly, thus far. It is for this reason that this will possibly be a low-scoring contest to where both offenses may likely struggle due to their defenses ability to be opportunistic and aggressive throughout the matchup.

Against The Spread Selection: Pick:   Kentucky Wildcats

My reason for the pick :

Look for Kentucky to get back on the right track in this matchup as I see them continuing to pound Texas A&M on the boards throughout the contest in which to pull away in the second half and pick up the much-needed victory. As stated, I do not see how Texas A&M will compete, offensively, versus a Kentucky team that ranks as one of the best on the defensive end in the nation. It is for this reason that Kentucky will certainly pick up a convincing win in the end versus a Texas A&M squad that has not perform well on the offensive end all year long.

Totals Selection: Pick: Under

My reason for the prediction :

The under has been the play in seven of the last eight games, overall, for the Aggies of Texas A&M while also being the result in two of the last three games for the Kentucky Wildcats. As stated, this will certainly be and matchup to where both defenses will take center stage as  Kentucky will certainly neutralize an inconsistent offense for Texas A&M. On the other hand, look for The Aggies to also have a decent night on the defensive end vs. a Kentucky team that will be looking to kick-start their offense after a lackluster performance in their last time out. Nonetheless, the total will certainly remain under its set limit for this matchup.

Betting trends for Texas A&M Aggies:

  • The Aggies are 3-5 against the spread in last 8 games

Betting trends for Kentucky Wildcats:
